Darksiders Gensis is a new action adventure game developed by ‘Airship Syndicate‘ and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. Darksiders is said to be coming out on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 the 14th of February 2020. Now from what we hear Darksiders Genesis is suppose to be a bit of a crazy ride. Let’s take a look.

Now Darksiders Genesis takes place before the events of the original Darksiders game. Darksiders Genesis is also bringing in horseman Strife. Strife is here now so fans can be happy about that. The story basically is that War and Strife have got their newest assignment. Their target is lucifer, who plans to shake the balance by granting power to the master demons. War and Strife must hunt down the master demons and solve what’s truly going on.

So basically if you’ve played Darksiders before then expect something different. It’s a top down shooter combat game. So prepare for that. You’ll be fighting demons and angels, swapping between War and Strife depending on what’s best. You also get much stronger by acquiring creature cores, abilities, weapon enhancements and items.

We checked out some gameplay and it just looks like another top down action game. We like that you can switch between Strife and War with ease and mix things up. The action looked mostly smooth and the music is definitely good. We haven’t seen anything that makes us go “wow” yet but it definitely works well. The bosses though look like big trouble. Legion boltspitter looks like he could ruin your whole life but obviously the horsemen will win somehow.

Overall, Darksiders Genesis seems like an alright game. Fast, action packed and enemies not far away. The graphics look good for what it is. Sadly Darksiders is another game/project that gets inspiration, ideas and stuff from the Bible and gives no credit to it. We don’t respect that at all. The developers have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to wait and hear how Darksiders Genesis is received. by the gaming community. Now Darksiders Genesis may have demons and monsters but those are a joke compared to… the Earth Walk!’

Hovership Havoc is a sci-fi twin stick shooter game developed and published by ‘Snow Day Software‘. Hovership Havoc is said to be coming out on Xbox One the 17th of January 2020. It’s also out on PC. Now Hovership Havoc aim to be different from other twin stick shooters. Let’s just say it has something to do with a different perspective. Let’s take a look.

Now lets say what makes Hovership Havoc stand out from the others or should we say what they hope will make them stand out. There’s a top down view as you are playing through the levels but when you face a boss, you then have a third person view. That’s right. It becomes a third person shooter when you face a boss. Now that’s cool.

Now Hovership Havoc has randomly generated levels. This includes everything concerning the level like the rooms in the levels, the enemies you will encounter and even the pickups you can get. So like spelunky, expect everything to be different all the time.

There’s four different hoverships for you to select from in Hovership Havoc. Each one has their own weapons and their own stats. There are some abilities that you can get as you play like shields, drones, shockwave pulse, rockets and even shockwave pulse. There’s suppose to be more than 30.

There’s more than 15 types of enemies who all have no problem destroying you. In Hovership Havoc you will face them across 3 different environments which we hope stands out from each other nicely. Also don’t for get to collect orbs as you go because they are what will make your ship more powerful.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. The enemies do look pathetic tough, like they can’t d anything while the bosses look like a big threat. Seriously the enemies look like discount aliens from space invaders. Other from that it all looks smooth and good. The levels seem alright for now, reminding us of Assault Android Cactus

Overall, Hovership Havoc just seems like another twin stick shooter game but with their own secret weapon which is the third person shooter boss fights. Graphics and sounds are very good and we like the abilities. The developers ‘Snow Day Software’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Now Hovership Havoc may have third person boss fights but no matter what perspective you have, you won’t beat… the ‘Earth Walk!’

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a new action fighting game developed by ‘Spike Chunsoft‘ and published by ‘Bandai Namco‘. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is said to be coming out on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC all on 28th of February 2020. Now many know who Saitama is and what he does. Let’s take a look.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is all about Saitma and the One Punch Man universe off course but it’s all about 3v3 battles. So team work. Gamers can build teams made up from the characters of the One Punch universe. Full list, currently shown on the website, of the in-game characters are: Deep Sea King, Silver Fang, Hellish Blizzard, our guy Genos, Carnage Kabuto, Terrible Tornado, Mumen Rider, Vaccine Man, Saitama (off course), Speed-O’-Sound Sonic, Mosquito Girl and Atomic Samurai. Now it has been stated that there are more characters but not revealed. We know about a lot of them.

There isn’t much to say here. Seriously though, if you’ve watched One Punch Man then you know what to expect, powerful monsters attacking pretty much every day and heroes are needed to defeat them. So just apply the context of this game that it’s going to be 3v3 combat. This is game in terms of concept is similar to ‘Jump Force’ in terms of a 3v3 team battles. Which raises a question and big issue for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Why are they doing this concept and gameplay. Why create a game that’s like Jump Force. Both are 3v3 and both have anime characters except Jump force has some One Punch Man and a whole lot more. Yes One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is solely focused on just One Punch Man but still not different enough. We need to see more.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. We saw some additional characters like King, Tank Top Master, Metal knight and Stinger. The combat seems combo based and has strong focus on character resource management. Keeping an eye on health, abilities, timing, weaknesses etc. It’s a team based beat em up game with your favourite or known characters of One Punch Man.

Overall One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows seems like a good game definitely. Graphics and sounds are very anime sounding and that suits it well given where it comes from. We just hope there is more to this game then just 3v3 beat em up. The developers ‘Spike Chunsoft’ have a done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear out open this one. Now One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows may have Saitama but even he is completely weak when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Pathologic 2 is an open world survival thriller game developed by ‘Ice-Pick Lodge‘ and published by ‘tinyBuild‘. Pathologic is said to be coming out on the Xbox One the 12th of December 2019 and PlayStation 4 in 2020. It’s already out on PC though. This game is supposed to be centred around a certain plague that’s destroying society. Let’s take a look.

Pathologic 2 is open world, so expect a whole world. Basically everything is taking place in a town. This town isn’t normal at all. The town is being devastated by a deadly plague. This plague is more than just a disease. What’s worse is that the chief local healer is dead. The player must take his place. Now the developers make this perfectly clear that you can’t save everyone in Pathologic 2. You will be forced to make what’s called lose-lose choices in situations. You need to get to know the society and try to make some friends or allies if you want to call them that.

So you can play this in different ways. Either make some allies and be friends with the locals or you could either just look out for yourself and as they say, “carve out your own path”. When a plague is going on and people are dying with victims going crazy it’s normally better to have allies and people who can back you up.

Now there is some danger off course in Pathologic 2. You probably thinking, well obviously X35 Earthwalker, you guys mentioned the plague but there’s more though, the victims of of the plague have also got a problem with you and will make survival somewhat difficult, so you are facing both the victims of the plague and the plague itself. You don’t have forever though. Players have 12 days.

Like Sims you have to manage your hunger, thirst, tiredness etc. Pathologic 2 is all about survival. Off course at the start of the game, things will definitely be bearable but the game is designed to get harder and harder. Your body just get worse and worse and maybe an organ becomes more unstable than ever before.

We checked out some Pathologic 2 gameplay and it’s sort of what we expected. Fights in this game are short and vicious, you could fight people for their wallets or mug them. Some fights can cost you your life though. The one enemy you can’t really face is the plague itself. Remember that this plague is more than just a disease. Much more.

Overall Pathologic 2 just looks like another survival game based heavily around choices you make in a set period of time. We haven’t seen anything that has gotten us interested in this game though. Nothing stands out to us. We have seen from reviews that it must be good but a game must be more than just a good game for us. The developers have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker aren’t looking forward to it being on consoles but others will. Now Pathologic may have a dangerous plague going around but even this plague has no effect on… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Infliction is a horror game developed and published by ‘Caustic Reality‘. Infliction is said to be coming out in the fourth quarter of 2019 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4. Infliction is already out on PC though. Now horror games like infliction tend to have similar patterns. We hope this game is different. Let’s take a look.

In Infliction, players must explore a suburban home which once was a happy home but now is the home of tragedy, sorrow and off course horror. Obviously something bad has happened here. The player must explore the place, look around and basically discover what happened here. Not sure why we are doing that. Infliction doesn’t state if the character we control is with the police, FBI, detective, journalist, nothing. We are just here. Strange.

Now i wouldn’t be a horror game if all you did was look around. You are not alone. There’s something here in the house with you. Whatever it is it’s full of rage and definitely grief. So two things are going on here. While you are exploring, reading and finding clues as to what happened here, this being is also hunting you. If it gets the chance it will take out all its issues and anger on you. So yeah, death and all that. Beware…

Now there are some hints on the official website that gives some information concerning the whole situation. The word absolution is being used. This suggests that our character, whoever they are is somehow involved and needs to earn forgiveness but the looks of it. Also the whole Infliction experience is said to be unpredictable which is a good thing. Players need to be kept guessing, especially in horror aspects like this.

Since the house was were a happy family was living then expect Infliction to being dealing with matter relating to everyday life and mature topics. These stuff are being fused with the supernatural. Infliction is about making the player very uncomfortable by letting them relate to what’s going on here.

We checked out some Infliction gameplay and there isn’t much to say. Games like infliction have been done before and you basically know what to expect. Infliction even reminds us of Visage. You’re in a house, exploring and evil is there basically so keep away. Many gamers and YouTubers off course enjoy this stuff like how CoryxKenshin did. The main difference with Infliction though is that not only can you hide from the danger by hiding under the tables and beds but you can get or use light sources to stun the spirit to give you some time to escape. A camera is an example of such a light source.

Overall, Infliction seems like another indoor house exploring horror game where it’s all about the atmosphere, tension and making players afraid to enter. Song of Horror, Visage, Silver Chains are all examples of this. So players should understand what kind of experience they will be getting. The developers ‘Caustic Reality’ has done a good job with this game. they do need to make it stand out more from the other similar games though. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to see what becomes of Infliction. Now Infliction may have an angry sprit but even that spirit has to stay calm when it comes too… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Weakless is a new adventure puzzle game developed by ‘Punk Nation‘ and ‘Cubeish Games‘ but published by ‘Punk Nation’ only. Weakless is said to be coming out the 29th of November 2019 on the Xbox One and PC. It hasn’t been announced if Weakless is going to be on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 yet. Let’s take a look.

Basically in Weakless players control two characters. Their kind is called weavelings. Their names seem to be ‘Deaf’ and ‘Blind’. What charming names right? Why are they called that? This is because Deaf is literally deaf and Blind is literally blind. This is also the whole point of the game. Players must have these characters work together to progress through this world. This world has what’s being described as challenging puzzles. Both characters are needed for success.

Now in Weakless you might be wondering why not just have the one who can see lead the other one around as seeing is better than hearing. Well both of Deaf and Blind have more than learnt how to deal with their disabilities. They have developed some extraordinary abilities.  Blind is the older and way more calm of the two and is the one to look after Deaf. You can only control one character at a time which also means you can use their senses one at a time. So knowing when to use who and what they can do is key for Weakless.

So what’s going on in Weakless? What’s Deaf and Blind out here doing? Basically they want to protect their village and off course the weaveling people. This can be done by bringing back the flow of Resin, which is life energy for all living creatures in the Weakless world. Without the flow of Resin the world is in danger from the advancing rot.

Now Weakless takes place in a very different world indeed. This world is full of different locations and areas. So make sure to take a moment to observe the surroundings. Players can expect natural basins, caves, ruins and more. A variety of locations is pretty much always a win in video games.

We checked out some Weakless gameplay and it’s quite interesting, especially with the puzzles. Blind has exceptional hearing while Deaf can bring light wherever he goes. They truly have to work together. The puzzles and the environment in multiple ways do remind us of Pikmin. There’s a number of secrets in the world of Weakless. Deaf even has a sketch book where players can check out and see what Deaf thinks about the whole situation.

Overall Weakless seems like another adventure with some puzzle elements. Sort of like Abe and Munch from Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee where you must control both characters, think things through and use their skills. Just seems like a good game but we definitely like how different Weakless is. The developers ‘Punk Notion’ and ‘Cubeish Games’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Weakless accomplishes. Now Weakless may be about teamwork but even working together won’t help you beat… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Terminator: Resistance is a new first person shooter action game developed by ‘Teyon‘ and published by ‘Reef Entertainment‘. Terminator: Resistance is said to be coming out December 3rd 2019 on the Xbox One and PS4 but the 15th of November on PC… in the US; however in the UK it’s released the 15th of November on the Xbox One and PS4. So different dates for the two locations. A new terminator game huh. Let’s take a look.

In the world of Terminator: Resistance things are taking place pretty much 30 years after Judgment Day (the fake judgement day). Terminator: Resistance is all about a new hero. This hero is called Jacob Rivers. He’s basically a soldier in the resistance pacific division. He isn’t anyone of interest as he’s not a high ranking soldier either. He’s just a private. Jacon Rivers learns that Skynet has marked him for termination as he’s declared to be the latest threat.

So anyone who has watched the Terminator movies and know about them can guess what to expect from Terminator: Resistance. Everything that takes place is leading up to a major league battle which will decide everything. You must decide the fate of mankind in this war against machines and off course you must destroy Skynet’s defence grid. Sounds familiar? Well you are getting the Terminator experience here.

Terminator: Resistance takes place in a post apocalyptic Los Angeles, you can explore the whole area, complete the main story which will help you move up through the ranks of the resistance. There’s also side-quests which are about helping your friends.

You know a future based game is going to have some cool weapons. Terminator: Resistance has a whole arsenal of weaponry but you have to earn them, either through trading or even crafting. In this world, you must search for scraps. What we can tell you though is that the weapons are based on plasma. There are some weapons that are good for just getting out there and shooting everything while others assist in stealth, sneaking around and even hacking.

The enemies are off course the machines. Players will face some well known machines like the T-800. Expect different skeleton looking machine monsters who are unforgiving and want you dead. Such is the world of Terminator: Resistance. Also there are a good number of enemies who are brand new as in you’re going to get a surprise when you meet them.

We checked out some Terminator: Resistance gameplay and it’s quite what we expected. A destroyed world with flames and dying humans everywhere. There are numerous machines who are merciless and you need to shoot them to death. Helping and finding survivors, uniting and search dead machines for parts and scraps. We saw the armoured spider and spider scout enemies. The gameplay looks good for a first person shooter.

Overall. Terminator: Resistance  seems like a good game so far. It definitely does it’s job as a first person shooter but it adds a few extra elements like the stealth/sneaking and the scavenging with crafting. The enemies are a clear threat. The graphics look very good and the sounds are good too. The developers ‘Teyon’ have done a good job with this game so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Terminator: Resistance has to offer. Now Terminator: Resistance may put up a fight but it doesn’t stand a chance against… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Munchkin: Quacked Quest is a new action role playing game developed and published by ‘Asmodee Digital‘. Munchkin: Quacked Quest is said to be coming out the 19th of November 2019 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC. Now we have never heard of this game. So let’s take a look.

In the world of Munchkin: Quacked Quest, everything is silly and meant to be a joke. Even their websites keep mentioning laughing. There isn’t a story as far as we know. It just seems to be all multiplayer chaotic fun action. You and the other players will be facing numerous enemies and trying to grab… ducks? Wait… ducks? Yes, ducks.

Yes the whole Munchkin: Quacked Quest seems to be about ducks. Players must capture ducks and this is what players betray each other for… ducks. Players must capture ducks. It’s all about the ducks.

The dungeons are randomly generated so expect different things each time. Also expect the challenges to not be normal either. They are said to be different and crazy.

Now there is character customisation. There are four races to choose from and there’s four classes to choose from too. You can mix and match though so you could create an orc wizard, dwarf priest and much more.

A big theme in Munchkin: Quacked Quest is betrayal. Yes you are working together with others but at the end of the day it’s all about the ducks. Every player is out for the ducks but you need to make sure it’s you who gets them so remove and take out whoever stands in your way. This means you can throw your friends into pits, no regrets.

There’s treasures that you need to get to first, there are legendary weapons that will give you the definite advantage. One legendary weapon is called the “Rat-on-a-Stick”. No comment. So make sure to smash all the objects in the room in a hopes to find loot.

We checked out some Munchkin: Quacked Quest gameplay and it’s sort of what we expected but slower than we thought. The gameplay is silly, the universe is sort of wacky. Nothing special, nothing stands out but at the end of the day it’s another multiplayer game. It’s a local multiplayer game with big bosses like a dragon. So bring your friends and ruin some friendships.

Overall Munchkin: Quacked Quest just seems like an alright game for gamers who want something fun and silly. Nothing serious, nothing super competitive but just to have a few laughs. The developers ‘Asmodee Digital’ have done an alright job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear what Munchkin: Quacked Quest gets up to in the future. Now Munchkin: Quacked Quest may be about the ducks but what’s way bigger is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is one of those games that many people have been waiting for. Even X35 Earthwalker himself was looking forward to the day when the Crash Team Racing remake would come out. It was described as a smashing blast from the past. If you did play Crash Team Racing in the past then you have to give this a try and see fro yourself… but what did we think? This is a nice review. Let’s take a look.

Now straight from the start, original Crash Team Racing gamers will notice that the starting screen isn’t the same. In Nitro-Fueled, Crash comes up from off screen to grab the trophy while in the original he was always on screen within reach of the trophy but that’s just a bit of trivia for you (impressed yet?). Now straight from the main menu the game practically reveals all the modes and tracks it has to offer. Crash Team Racing Nitor-Fueled has all the original tracks plus the tracks from Crash Nitro Kart which was a smart move. We know for a fact that there will be no Crash Nitro Kart remake as Crash Team Racing was the more popular and succesful. Still was a great game though. Overall Nitro-Fueled has lots of content for players and the menu makes that clear.

Let’s start with adventure mode which is the main meat of the game. It’s just as we remembered it. Four tracks per area, win a race and get a trophy then you can’t renter until you get the boss key of the area. Once all four tracks have been won, the boss will emerge and challenge you to a race. The animations for the bosses, their introduction is very well done. We were happy with them, especially Ripper Roo. It just showed how crazy he really is. If you are new to the game then you need to do some practicing on the area track and get some skills. You need to get your head checked if you think you can be a beginner and beat Ripper Roo. Then everything else played out just like the original. The remake was faithful to the original and the animations really added some new flavour and personality to the characters. Now let’s quickly talk about the graphics. The graphics are excellent. We remember the old looks of the levels and seeing the new looks were amazing. The best looking track has to be Coco park. They made that place look awesome like we want to visit that place, as long as there’s no racers nearby hurling bombs and homing missiles. By the way, how comes Coco has a whole major awesome park for herself, with statues of herself and more?

Many players like to jump straight into online modes. You know how these kids are these days, they beat Oxide and suddenly think they are fast. You can do online battle or race in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. The main thing is off course racing as that’s what most did with the original. Battle was fun but it’s very different from what you get in the adventure mode. Online matches are also the best way to earn wumpa coins. Average races and modes in adventure mode only offer from 80-20 coins. That’s lame as the items that actually matter cost a minimum of 1500. Winning an online match can get you 300, sometimes more and sometimes less. That’s a big difference. Even coming second can get you 165. The problem is winning though. If you suck, then you won’t make as much. Also online is where the real matches happen. X35 Earthwalker, the one true Earthwalker, the legendary soldier himself has dominated online. There are some players who are here to just have fun. There are some who want to win and rely more on items. There are those who think they are fast and get real salty and send messages when they lose. Lastly there are those who’ve got some speed. We’ve had some serious races but so far, no one better than X35 Earthwalker. So basically online is where the real action is at. It does take a bit too long to find a match and takes longer to actually start the match.

The Grand Prix content that recently got added to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled brought in a bunch of new stuff that really reveals where the name nitro fuelled truly comes from. Sort of like a battle pass, players can earn nitro to fit up the meter to unlock rewards like vehicles skins, paint jobs, stickers and even new characters. What we were happy to see is the return of Chick and Stew from Crash Tag Team Racing. They are bringing the reports as never before, except Stew isn’t getting a new funky hat every time the camera comes back to him… what a shame… BRING BACK THE HATS! The gran prix also brings in new tracks never before seen. Whole new race tracks. Now we was going to list this next thing under everything bad about Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled but the Grand Prix saved the game. The Bandicoot girls are back. So happy to see them again. Ami, Megumi, Isabella, Liz and Tawna (Tawna wasn’t in CTR) are all here and ready to race. When we didn’t see them in the original release of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, introducing and applauding the victor of the races we were not happy. We remembered them so clearly and they were a part of the whole thing especially since each girl was assigned to a racing team. A different girl who show depending on the character that wins. Now they are back and geared up. It would have been better if they made it so that either by meeting certain conditions or whatever reason each of the girls who show up one by one challenging the player to a one on one like how Super smash bros Brawl did new unlockable characters. Off course make each of the girls have their own difficult going from easy to extremely hard. Just an idea.

Now Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is definitely harder than we remember the original being. Definitely watch the above video to see what we mean. The difference between medium and hard difficulty is crazy. When we play medium, the A.I are too easy but when you play hard, the A.I are ridiculous. Remember that the gameplay video above is gameplay of X35 Earthwalker’s first ever races on the game, so was still rusty. Even getting the relics seems to be harder, we could be wrong but that was years ago. Well getting the sapphire and gold isn’t hard… it’s the platinums that all the noobs and beginners can only dream about (don’t get mad guys, just joking) but seriously they seem harder than we remember. Well not all tracks are created equally as some like Tiny arena allow for you to make it in with time to spare while others like N Gins lab has no forgiveness and require near perfect execution of crate smashing. The rematch with Oxide also seems a bit harder than before but once you get in front of him, he’s a complete push over. Fans and critics are divided understandably. Some say that it’s too hrs but that’s mainly coming from those who never played the original before. If you are new, then you really need to practice first. You won’t stand a chance against the real drivers who are online. They will do some bad stuff to you… stuff you can’t even talk about. Seriously we’ve seen players been left far behind the group simply because they are just learning. Online isn’t for learning. Then there are the layers who seem like they’ve been playing the original crash for the last 15 years, training for this remake… off course they say the game isn’t hard. So most the options come from Crash Team Racing history.

Now let’s talk about what the remake did wrong or was not so good. We noticed that you have less control over your power slides in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. It feels harder to control. We just had to get use to it. We knew the remake wouldn’t be able to fully replicate the exact feeling of the original. The hit detection with walls and surfaces seem worse than in the original. We find ourselves during our first races colliding and being shown down by walls when it looks like we aren’t even touching it. Again this is something annoying but something you have to get use to. Even though they brought them back as race-able characters they still weren’t part of the original release of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled to congratulate the winners. If Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is suppose to be a remake then include everything the original had… simple. They were a part of the game and everyone remembers them. They should have been there. They should have had a cinematic feature where you can rewatch the new cutscenes concerning the bosses as they were great and fun to watch. Beginner characters like Polar, Pura and Liz are discouraged as you get good at the game. Their low speed makes it too hard to compete with excellent racers using high speed characters like Tiny, Dingodile, Ami and Papu Papu. X35 Earthwalker was in an online match and faced a good Papu Papu racer. He was always slightly ahead to due to the difference in character top speed, not skill. In the next race when X35 changed to playing Crash he beat that Papu Papu player without any real problems. The problem is the character speed. The beginner characters are not fast enough. The characters should have no set stats but maybe the vehicles have stats but if they do that, then it’s not an exact remake. So either way beginner characters not valid for good players (that’s why they are called beginner). We don’t see them online (hardly).

Overall Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a very good game. Well remade and well designed. Besides the stuff we mentioned there isn’t anything wrong with this game. It’s faithful to the original. The characters and levels look very good. We have the option to switch between the new and old music so you can hear both whenever you pretty much want. The inclusion of the Crash Nitro Kart characters and race tracks was a good move too. We at X35 Earthwalker are overall happy with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. The developers ‘Beenox‘ have done a very good job with this game. Now Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled may be a good remake but what doesn’t need a remake is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Some Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled gameplay

They Are Billions is a new steampunk strategy game developed by ‘Numantian Games‘. It is said to come out the 5th of July on the Xbox One and 9th of July on the PlayStation 4. he early PC access is already out (but we don’t care about that). Let’s hope that this game can pull of the zombie theme well. Let’s take a look.

The world of They Are Billions is set in a post apocalyptic planet where zombies basically rule the world. There’s as the name suggests, billions of zombies but a couple thousands of humans left. The zombies are trying to kill of humanity. The suggests that the zombies have some intelligence or something is behind the horde of zombies, getting them to work together or something. Either way this game is about survival. Keep humanity alive and fight back the billions.

Just from looking at the game and knowing that it’s genre is strategy, experienced gamers will know what to expect. Expect mechanics like resource management, commanding armies and multiple units at the same time. Basically stay vigilant, aware and keep and eye on everything. All units are important so keep everything and everyone alive. Also, just to let players know, even though They Are Billions is a real time strategy game, you can pause it, to give yourself a breather… but wait… there’s more. You can giver orders, check all the stats and even do some structure building.

Players need to build and manage a whole colony. They Are Billions. So firstly we need something solid. So build walls, towers, gates etc to have a safe area. Next, everyone needs to eat to live… right. So gather food. For building and more you’ll need the basic resources like iron, wood, oil and stone. As your place looks great and secure, people will join you and live there. So keep an eye on the colony to make sure there are no zombie invasions, gather resources and build structures grow and secure the place.

Let’s get to the more interesting parts. The zombies and combat. There are billions of infected creatures, not necessarily just zombies. There are big monsters with huge amounts of strength and other zombie variations. Players can only beat them by growing their army. Hire and train mercenaries who off course demand their pay and lunch. Some use flamer throwers, others rifles, some melee and more tricks. You literally cannot let a single infected get in. If just one gets inside a building then every colonist and worker with that building is automatically infected. Those newly infected will run around in pure panic and end up infecting other stuff. They Are Billions, plans to be a risky and show not much mercy. If you mess up, it can ruin everything.

We checked out some gameplay and it is what we expected. You see everything from the top but diagonal angle. The workers are hammering away and doing whatever. Your mighty units are marching around, your regular units are on patrol and keeping an eye out. The zombies are truly swarming and very reactive. There could 20ooo on the screen all at once and if you kill a couple of them in a certain location then way, way more will come I=to investigate what happened. Each zombie type has their own behaviour so keep that in mind.

Overall, They Are Billions seems just alright so far. Things are too small to see but the engine does handle the amount of enemies quite well. It’s another resource management game with zombies but the look of the game does remind us of Clash of Clans. Now the developers did an alright job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker hope that this game does well and reaches the intended target audience. Now They Are Billions may have billions of zombies but what has more people involved is… the ‘Earth Walk!’
