X35 Earthwalker Street Fighter

Street Fighter 6 is where the fighting game community is at right now. Street Fighter 6 is being developed by Capcom off course. The announce trailer has dropped (arrived) and there has been many reactions and views concerning it. People like Smug, Justin Wong and Maximillian dood (inferior to pegasus) have reacted to it. Now off Course X35 Earthwalker is smarter and above all of them. So what X35 says is what truly matters. Let’s take a look.

Now from the first few seconds of the trailer we knew that Streets of Rage 6 was going to be excellent. The graphics and visuals are looking fantastic right now. You know work has gotten into it. The streets look more alive than ever before. Speaking of the streets being alive, players can take part in the streets… literally. You get to run around in the streets. This must be the new Street Fighter 6 single player mode called ‘World Tour’. You have your own fighter and you make a name for yourself in the streets. Facing other characters, running around the city, interacting with others and objects like smashing bins and more. This off course is a big deal and new thing, especially in the fighting game genre. This is the right direction. Modern games are getting bigger, flashier and have whole new features and mechanics.

The first thing we hate about Street Fighter 6 is Luke’s stupid hair! They need to change that. It’s horrible and makes him look like an idiot. We do like the character designs of Luke (minus his hair) and Jamie. Both about to be great additions to the world of Street Fighter. Jamie looks cool with an energetic attitude with a flashy combat style. We love flashy. The graffiti style of the Capcom logo was excellent. Shows that this is a new era, a new style, a new direction, a new generation, like how there’s a new generation of characters now. We see box head minions emerging which again shows there’s a single player mode… World Tour. Chun-Li is here and so is Ryu. they had too be here. If they weren’t here, we wouldn’t even touch the game. They are pillars of Street Fighter and should always be present. Now for their character design…

Chun-Li looks amazing and it makes sense. Her greatest strength is her kicks. So off course a wise person would make them stronger. Her thighs are much stronger and bigger than last time. Meaning she kicks harder. Her gastrocnemius muscles look fantastic too. Realistic and beautiful. Ryu is looking more like Zangief in the face. Less realistic and more blocky. Body wise he is great but face wise, he doesn’t look good but he looks like he continued his training, as expected. Next we are seeing all new combat mechanics. We know about them but won’t say here. These new things changes a lot and adds more to the Street Fighter game. We are seeing special parries and enhanced attacks. The special effects are excellent too, adding impact and newness to the combat.

X35 Earthwalker Street Fighter

What do Capcom they need to do? A number of things. Street Fighter 6 has to be a big success. They can easily fail but if they have wise leaders like X35 Earthwalker… which they don’t, they can do well. First things first, put Hugo back in the game! Look at the opening scene of the trailer. Hugo is on the bottom left on the screen that says ‘Giant Attack’. Hugo is the most hyped character in the whole game. Not a good character but when someone with skill masters Hugo, he is the most entertaining to watch. Bring him back and you’ll bring in players and content. Next we have seen some new mechanics but there needs to be a level of deepness to them that’s enough to add complexity to the game but keep the form of Street Fighter. Next there needs to be new controls. Some keyboards have input short cuts to make doing moves and combos easier. The battlefield needs to be even. We heard there’s controls that allow doing combos and special moves easier. This will make things easier for new players and encourage more to play with the experienced. Good move to bring in a explorable world, single player story. Great games like Street of Rage 4 stayed exactly how it use to be. A arcade beat em up but nothing new that was a major change or addition which means once you complete it, you no longer really needed to play it. Streets of Rage 6 won’t have the problem.

There needs to be unlock able rewards like customisation for your characters, unique skins that have to be earned. Multiple different  character taunts that can be activated during matches. Titles that can be equipped for prestige and making statements. In game currency that you gain for playing not buying which can e spent in a store. Another separate currency which can be bought with real money to be used in a completely separate store. Gaming is a business after all. They got to make money too. Lastly… matters fact. We won’t mention it. Let’s see if others notice too. That’s all for now, there’s way more to say but we won’t. street Fighter 6 is going to be fantastic… as long as the developers make smart moves. Now Street Fighter 6 may have a hyped trailer but it’s not as hyped as… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Samurai Shodown is a action fighting game developed and published by ‘SNK‘. Samurai Shodown isn’t a new game and has come out in 2019 on the Xbox One and PS4 and also 2020 on the Nintendo Switch and PC. Also game out on Stadia. Interestingly though it will come on the Xbox Series X BUT not the PS5 in 2020. This game is definitely flashy and about powerful battles. Let’s take a look.

Samurai Shodown takes place  between the events of Samurai Shodown V and the original game. Samurai Shodown is said to “carries on the legacy of the one true weapon-based fighter”. Simply put this is a fighter game like Street Fighter in the sense that it’s two characters on opposing sides of the screen and you use your attacks and whatever to bring the enemies life to zero. Off course this isn’t street fighter but something still very different. In Samurai Shodown it’s more about weapons like Soulcalibur but no 8 directional movement. The game being called samurai has an obvious theme. So expect swords, blades and flashy abilities.

Let’s talk a bit more about the fact that Samurai Shodown is coming to the Xbox Series X but not the PS5. We are seeing a number of games doing this. Develeopers are picking the Xbox Series X over PS5. Even one of the recent games we just wrote about called R-Type Final 2. A number of games are moving like this. On top of that. The Xbox Series X has been selling out like crazy in Japan. Japanese developers are going to be releasing games on the Xbox Series X and not PS5, especially thanks to Sony and it’s unnecessary censoring. Japan is a significant place when it comes to video games. It’s a fact that PlayStation, Sony is losing ground to Xbox, Microsoft. How many more nails is Xbox going to put into the PlayStation coffin?

We have never seen this game before so it’s new for us. We noticed that there’s mechanics around the weapons themselves. For example you can knock a player away from their weapon and off course they then are a much smaller threat, have limits and less range. This leads to certain tactics like knocking the enemy away from the weapon then backing off to get the weapon off screen or stand by their weapon and play keep away. It’s an interesting feature and reminds us off when Vega looses his claw knives in Street fighter.

We checked out some Samurai Shodown gameplay and it’s what we expected. There’s strange symbols, imagery, lots of flash and explosive moves. Weapons are the focus, a heavy theme and action, action, action. The characters don’t look that interesting to us though. No one stands out to us but the gameplay does. The special powerful moves get right to the point and does what you’d expect. It does look good and the background settings are very fitting and relevant to the Samurai theme.

Overall Samurai Shodown looks like another fighting game to us just having a mechanic that makes the game stand out but clearly still falls into the group. The graphics and visual aren’t impressive but possibly that could change with the next gen console Xbox Series X. It’s definitely flashy though. The developers ‘SNK’ has done an alright job. We know some gamers are looking forward to this. Now Samurai Shodown may have swords and flashy action but that’s all super dull when compared to the action of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a new action fighting game developed by ‘Spike Chunsoft‘ and published by ‘Bandai Namco‘. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is said to be coming out on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC all on 28th of February 2020. Now many know who Saitama is and what he does. Let’s take a look.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is all about Saitma and the One Punch Man universe off course but it’s all about 3v3 battles. So team work. Gamers can build teams made up from the characters of the One Punch universe. Full list, currently shown on the website, of the in-game characters are: Deep Sea King, Silver Fang, Hellish Blizzard, our guy Genos, Carnage Kabuto, Terrible Tornado, Mumen Rider, Vaccine Man, Saitama (off course), Speed-O’-Sound Sonic, Mosquito Girl and Atomic Samurai. Now it has been stated that there are more characters but not revealed. We know about a lot of them.

There isn’t much to say here. Seriously though, if you’ve watched One Punch Man then you know what to expect, powerful monsters attacking pretty much every day and heroes are needed to defeat them. So just apply the context of this game that it’s going to be 3v3 combat. This is game in terms of concept is similar to ‘Jump Force’ in terms of a 3v3 team battles. Which raises a question and big issue for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Why are they doing this concept and gameplay. Why create a game that’s like Jump Force. Both are 3v3 and both have anime characters except Jump force has some One Punch Man and a whole lot more. Yes One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is solely focused on just One Punch Man but still not different enough. We need to see more.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. We saw some additional characters like King, Tank Top Master, Metal knight and Stinger. The combat seems combo based and has strong focus on character resource management. Keeping an eye on health, abilities, timing, weaknesses etc. It’s a team based beat em up game with your favourite or known characters of One Punch Man.

Overall One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows seems like a good game definitely. Graphics and sounds are very anime sounding and that suits it well given where it comes from. We just hope there is more to this game then just 3v3 beat em up. The developers ‘Spike Chunsoft’ have a done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear out open this one. Now One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows may have Saitama but even he is completely weak when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Dead or Alive 6

Dead or Alive 6 is the latest action fighting game, in the Dead or Alive series, developed and published by ‘Koei Tecmo Games‘. Dead or Alive 6 is coming out the 15th of February 2019 on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What will the latest Dear or Alive game offer? Let’s take a look.

Dead or Alive has been a long running series. There has been lots of discussions and forums concerning Dead or Alive 6. What we at X35 Earthwalker hope is that the developers focus on making good mechanics, balancing everything as best as possible and throwing in some new things to make everything exciting. Developers have to know when to it’s time to listen to fans for feedback and when to go ahead with what they wanted for their game.

Dead or Alive 6

Now when it comes to the story of Dead or Alive 6 that’s quite complicated and all over the place. Not to mean that it’s a bad story, but it’s like Tekken, where every character has their own story and something going on. For example Helena who is the president of the new DOATEC is threatened by a person who has special powers. Kasumi left her clan and is now a runaway ninja who’s secretly living in a mountain village. So you’ll have to play as the characters to learn and see what’s going on, which isn’t a bad idea.

Dead or Alive 6’s fighting mechanics is based on a triangle system. Throws, strikes and holds. Holds beat strikes, strikes beat throws and throws beat holds. If you successfully land a attack on the type it is strong against then you deal more damage and is counted as a hi counter. A completely new system is the break gauge system. The break guard is a new special attack meter that gets filled up when landing or taking hits and even blocking. Players can use the break gauge to execute moves like the break blow and break hold. The break hold is the strongest hold in the game and can return lower, middle and upper attacks. The break blow can parry an strike while delivering a powerful strike. There’s the fatal rush is basically four punches or kicks stringed together as a combo.

Dead or Alive 6

In terms of the characters, there are three new ones shown on their official website while hinting there is more. They are Kokoro, La Mariposa and Nico. La Mariposa, the ‘Immortal Butterfly’ is a luchadora wrestler excels at Aerial attacks and having tricky movements. Nico, the ‘lightning Technomancer’ is naturally skilled at martial arts and has three EMF rings that boost her speed and attacks. Kokoro, the ‘Ba Ji Dancer’ specialises in Ba Ji Quan using mid range elbow and palm thrust attacks. Watch out as she also has number of throws that could mess you up. The variety amongst characters so far look good.

In terms of the stages, in Dead or Alive 6, there are some and they look very good. There’s ‘The Muscle’ which is a large wrestling ring which as the words muscle spirit on the walls of the building. Didn’t Zangief talk about muscle spirit in Street Fighter V. There is ‘Lost Paradise’ is basically a cool jungle setting with some unfinished wooden structures around as well. There’s even a dinosaur in the area too. ‘Forbidden Fortune’ is a old pirate ship that has bones and a lot of history. These ruins are not safe and that’s a fact. The ‘DOA’ colosseum is new, ready looks great. The roaring fans cheering for their fighters and ring ropes that have some hot consequences for whoever touches them. ‘Zero’, research facility, ‘Miyabi’, an old street in a Japanese village and ‘Hidden garden’ a secluded and calming spot are all new and ready for fighters.

Dead or Alive 6

We checked out some Dead or Alive 6 gameplay and it’s definitely a step up from the last ones. There are even danger zones in some stages. These zones are bad news for any fighters who get knocked into them as some animation takes place dealing that fighter big damage. This reminds us of Injustice 2 and their stage animations. For example, remember that Lost Paradise place we mentioned well that stage has a danger zone and it’s a large dinosaur that attacks which cause an explosion that deals bit damage. Another stage has what seems like a kraken which uses it’s tentacles to attack fighters. These are definitely worth using against your enemies.

Overall Dead or Alive 6 seems like a good game so far. The graphics are very good and how the stages look very detailed. The sounds are good too. We like how the fighters have varied fighting styles with some real martial arts like Jeet Kune Do, T’ai Chi Ch’uan and Taekwondo. The developers ‘Koei Tecmo Games’ did a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to seeing fully what Dead or Alive 6 has to offer this time. Now Dead or Alive 6 may have a fancy tournament but even that is completely lame when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

My Hero One's Justice

My Hero One’s Justice is a new action fighting game developed by ‘Byking‘ but published by ‘Bandai Namco‘. My Hero One’s Justice is coming out the 26th of October 2018 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC. Fine we’ll say it… Plus ultra. Let’s take a look.

If you couldn’t figure it out (get out from under your rock) My Hero One’s Justice is a fighting game of the popular anime called ‘My hero academia‘. That’s right so all the popular characters, both hero and villain are here and ready to clash big time. Is there a story yes, and players can experience both sides. Basically players must fight for the justice you want. So if what you want is for the heroes to defend those in need and prevent evil or be the source of evil and cause massive destruction, then well you must fight for it.

My Hero One's Justice

So pick the character you want and bring your justice to life in My Hero One’s Justice. Off course if you are Tomoura shigaraki and want to cause trouble then expect All might and Izuku Midoriya as obstacles. Also if you are a hero like Shoto Todoroki and want to save the day well, what makes you think the bad guys will let you? So expect many characters like Shota Aizawa, Tenya Lida, Ochaco Uraraka, Katsuki Bakugo, Chizome Akaguro (hero killer stain), Himiko Toga, Dabi and more. Players can even play as Endeavor who is available only to those who pre-order.

Now players can use almost anything in the battle field to their advantage. For example the environment is destructible so destroy buildings and walls to make extra paths, cover to use or to extend combos. So even get use to using the buildings and walls. My Hero One’s Justice also allows sidekicks. You can have two sidekicks and like in other beat em up games can be used to make powerful attacks, extend combos, interrupt enemies or even as a distraction. Strategy is needed here so experiment and find out what works.

My Hero One's Justice

Off course a fighting battle game like this will have online combat. So Detroit smash heroes and villains from around the world to make it clear who’s better. If you are really competitive, then check out the leaderboards and fight your way to the top earn the right to call yourself the number one villain or hero. Not that it matters as neither number even stands a chance against X35 Earthwalker. Rumour has it that both All might and All for one got one shotted by X35 Earthwalker himself.

We checked out some gameplay and it looks fast paced. Characters can dash around; however Tenya’s dash lasts longer and stronger (as it should be). Players as we mentioned can fight along walls, get into the air, evade projectiles, combo like crazy and use powerful ultimate moves (not sure if they are called ultimate or not). My Hero One’s Justice so far does look very good, fun and action packed indeed. It is also quite clear that there are layers to the strategy and things can get sort of deep. So be prepared for that. Also there’s some character customisation and cool and silly stuff you can add to make your character your own.

Overall My Hero One’s Justice is looking good. The graphics are good, the sounds are good, the actions is smooth, the effects are cool, the locations and environments are familiar but we hope they get creative with the battle fields. More information concerning the story would be nice but let’s stay patient. The developers ‘Byking’ did a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to seeing who will be on the receiving end of the United States of smash. Now My Hero One’s Justice may be looking cool now but it’s coolness is in fact lame when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Omen of sorrow

Omen of Sorrow is another one of those games that is unique and got our attention. Omen of Sorrow is described as a classic 2D four button fighting game, developed by ‘AOne Games’. It has been stated to come out on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The date is dodgy as well probably 2018. Now this game is said to have deep combat mechanics to mix things up and create a better experience for gamers of different skill levels. Let’s take a look.

Omen of Sorrow has gotten quite a bit of attention. The reaction from gamers have been mostly positive. Literally, most of the comments have been good. There isn’t that much information on the game but we at X35 Earthwalker checked out some gameplay. So far we aren’t impressed. We actually do not see what makes the combat deep here. We can’t see any deep combat mechanics. Off course you’ll probably find out when you play it but we don’t have the game and can only go by the information given to us.

Omen of sorrow - X35 Earthwalker

In terms of the characters we know of five currently. Gabriel who looks like Van Helsings son but didn’t keep his fighting style. Dr Hyde is well… Dr Hyde. You know… the guy who is a monster version of a normal doctor with great strength. Cabal, who is basically a combination of a werewolf and an Ing from Metroid prime 2. Zafkie, who is an angel. She has angelic wings, she descended from the sky and talks about vanquishing and stopping evil before it can hurt others. Lastly Radegonda who is like a female version of the red devils from ghouls and ghosts but more grey and has butt cheeks. These five all have nothing in common except for the two humans, that’s if Gabriel is a human. The variety is looking good right now.

Omen of Sorrow is definitely a good looking game. The graphics are great. Omen of Sorrow was made with unreal engine 4 graphics. The combat is very smooth and the action just flows nicely from each attack and strike. The sounds are good as well and works well. This game was inspired by mythology and horror.

Overall we at X35 Earthwalker think that Omen of Sorrow is just okay right now. We don’t see why this is unique from other fighting games. We don’t see what’s so special. This doesn’t mean the game isn’t good. It’s clear that a lot of hard work went into this game and the developers, ‘AOne Games’ did a great job here. We just need to know and see more before we can change our verdict. You gamers might love this so don’t let us stop you. Omen of Sorrow is worth checking out
