Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! is a action survival horror game developed and published by ‘Saber Interactive‘. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! is said to be coming out the 2nd of October 2026 on the Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5 and PC. X35 Earthwalker sees something familiar about this game. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! wants to take this style of games to the next level. Let’s take a look.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! has a hero story. Players control Aidan and basically you are taking a trip through the depths of the underworld… to save your love. If you fail then she will be left there for eternal torment. You made a deal, or should we say bargain, with pinhead. Now you have a puzzle box and must face hell’s armies. 

Now real gamers would be reminded of something thanks to the plot of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival!. The whole rescue lover from hell reminds X35 Earthwalker of Dante’s Inferno. Epic game. Now when we see the gameplay, it also reminds us in some ways of Doom 3 and Doom 3 resurrection of evil. If you know then you know. All the uncultured gamers don’t worry about it. What gamers may need to worry about though is pinhead though. He just be standing there.

Now remember that puzzle box. Well this mysterious thing is known as the genesis configuration. So make sure to use it on your tv settings (get it?). The box has powers. Read this from the official website. “to inflict bone-breaking, flesh-searing pain”. So expect chains for sure. Not only that players will have earthly weapons too. Pistol, shotgun etc. The combat here is real. Stab, shoot, burst, rip, slice and more.

We checked out some Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! gameplay and it’s mostly what we expected. This is why we said Doom 3. Slower pace, pistol and shotgun, taking down enemies, dark places, lighting, occasional jump scares, lots of blood and off course the mysterious artifice. This is good because we enjoyed games like this. We do have some concerns though. Hopefully the sexual content is not straight weird to the point where we’d rather not have it in the game. Every adult level theme is here: strong language, intense violence, blood and gore, strong sexual content, nudity and use of drugs.   

Overall Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! is looking like a great game. We are certainly been waiting for a game like this for a good while but we hope it’s more monsters we fight against and less humans and cultists. Humans and cultists are far less interesting but if done right can still be great. Graphics are environment details look good. Of course there’s more questions but we will just have to find out. The developers ‘Saber Interactive’ have done a great job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for this. Now Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival! may have pinhead but he’s a total bum compared too… the ‘Earth Walk!’
