Mia and the Dragon Princess is a live action, interactive action game…/ movie… developed by ‘Wales Interactive‘, ‘Dead Pixel productions’ and ‘good gate media’ but published by ‘Wales Interactive‘ alone. Mia and the Dragon Princess is said to be coming out the 21st of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Android, iOS and pc. These types of games are rare for sure. X35 Earthwalker likes to see these types of games. Let’s take a look.

Mia and the Dragon Princess is a rare type of game indeed. If we asked you to name other games like this, you’d most likely get stuck. Mia and the Dragon Princess is like The Quarry, Until Dawn etc but it’s real people and actors, hence the live action description. We appreciate the work that goes into games like this. Now Mia and the Dragon Princess is about well… Mia. Good guess. She is a barmaid. Then one day a woman shows up at her work place. She is being chased by violent thugs. Yep… definitely not another Tuesday for Mia. Oh and on top of all that. This mysterious lady can’t speak English. Have fun with that.

So this is a whole movie but basically made into a game. Players will influence what happens. You know the drill. Decided what response the characters have, what to do. Pick between a selection of options or maybe just to. Spare him, or end him. Etc. There’s going to be a lot of action. So expect combat, some elbow strikes, a kick and real combat. So expect this to be an experience and enjoy the show. Things do look somewhat kind of goofy though. Some of the characters do look more comedic.

We checked out some Mia and the Dragon Princess gameplay and it’s what we expected. We can say there’s quite a lot of characters here. Some choices seem to be on a timer so players need to think and decide fast. There are no indicators on how difficult it will be. Since it’s a movie we expect it just be very simple to get through and more of a ride for players. Games like this, there isn’t that much to say but we know exactly what we would be looking out for. You can’t move around a room and control characters off course.

Overall Mia and the Dragon Princess looks like it’s going to be an alright game. Can it be called a game? Well yes as there is some input but to a more minimal level. It’s a movie after all. The plot looks like it’s going to be taken more seriously, instead of just letting it all be about the action. The developers ‘Wales Interactive’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear how this game does. Mia and the Dragon Princess may have some live combat action but it’s all too undisciplined for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Stray Blade. Not too far

X35 Earthwalker Stray Blade

Stray Blade is an action role playing game developed by ‘Point Blank Games‘ and published by ‘505 Games‘. Stray Blade is said to be coming out 20th of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and pc. X35 Earthwalker took notice of this game. He will be the judge. Looks like Stray Blade is bringing a big adventure. Let’s take a look.

Stray Blade has a not so simple story with some stuff in mystery but in terms of an action rpg, you know what to expect for sure concerning this story. So here we go. This all taking place in Acrea the lost valley. You died in this place though. Time passes, not stated how much but you also somehow came back to life. What’s the catch? You can’t leave this place now. Yep… you are stuck here.

X35 Earthwalker Stray Blade

Now Acrea the Lost Valley can be described as a forgotten place. It’s wild with the greenery and clearly overgrown. If you couldn’t tell by now, there’s some powerful stuff about this place or going on. They’re legends about this place. Players must restore balance to this land. There’s stuff going on in Stray Blade. So be prepared.

We didn’t even talk about the characters in Stray Blade. You play as ‘a rouge adventurer’. Looking like master shifu’s cousin from kung fu panda. Small red panda like animal. Your ally? The Xhinnon wolf… Boji. This dude looking like a menace as you can’t see his face, just darkness. He got real armour. These are the two characters. Your mission is to get out of Acrea.

X35 Earthwalker Stray Blade

There is a variety of foes from humanoid wielding weapons to straight up creatures. Some large creatures as well with big swings to take you down. Players will need to get optimal with their attacks, manage their guard, time their dodges in order to defeat these enemies. These battles do look difficult as in you can die quite quickly if you mess up. Acquire skills for you to use in combat, watch your weight as you equip gear, craft what you need to be prepared. There’s definitely quite a bit going on.

We checked out some Stray Blade gameplay and it’s what we expected. It does remind us of Lord of the Fallen. Stray Blade will force players to get good at it. Casual players should be on their guard. There’s even a parry which obviously will give an advantage for the success of the technique. Very colourful game for sure. We do like what we see. Graphics and visuals have had a big step up from 2022 gameplay trailer. Details game has been stepped up.

Overall Stray Blade looks like a good game. We aren’t impressed and have seen enough to pull us in yet. We definitely want to see more. We truly hope Stray Blade takes full advantage of the world they have created. This is a forgotten lost land. It has legends about it and mysteries. There’s greenery everywhere. You can put almost anything in this world and setting. So don’t be average with this. The developers ‘Point Blank games’ have done a good job so far but we need to see more. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Now Stray Blade may have a forgotten land but one thing that can never be forgotten is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters. Block up

X35 Earthwalker DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters

DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters is an action adventure game developed by ‘Sandbloom Studios‘ and published by ‘Handygames‘. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters is said to be coming out the 14th of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker has his own view concerning blocks. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters looking kind of blocky. Let’s take a look.

DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters has a story. Quite simple though. You basically wake up in this mysterious and very different world. Of course everything isn’t fine. There’s something going on and they need a hero to save the day. Maybe, just maybe… you are that hero.

Check out this description of the game “Embark on a surreal afterlife journey to uncover the secrets of the broken and enigmatic Plane of Memory in this atmospheric adventure with hints of stealth. Immerse yourself in a warm voxel world presented with an intense cinematic approach. Dive into a profound, introspective experience, encounter its diverse inhabitants, and become the hero that saves the day!”

A lot of details has gone into this game. They worked to produce ‘realistic vfx’. We hope to see this done well. Motion capture was used for animations as well. This means character movements are going to be realistic and hopefully clean. We hear there’s even ‘complex cinematographic features’. Also take notice of the textures in this game though. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters may be taking the simple road.

X35 Earthwalker DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters

We checked out some DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters gameplay and it’s what we expected. We definitely do like this big mysterious yet very blocky world. There’s a lot to see here. Even though you control a skeleton, this game doesn’t make us respect skeletons. Seems like a weak character for sure. Not impressed. Maybe if it did the dance… we might change our minds. The best thing about DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters is definitely the environments and visuals. We like what we see. The Skeleton runs too slowly too. Meat or not, you need to move faster.

Overall DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters looks like a good game. The puzzles are here and the particle effects here too. Looking good as well. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters has something but we can see where it is lacking. Definitely a good game though. We just want to see more of the world. The developers ‘Sandbloom studios’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters to see what’s happening. Now DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters may have a skeleton and a very blocky world but the blocks are not blocky enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Meet Your Maker. For real?

X35 Earthwalker 'Meet your Maker'

Meet your Maker is an action first person shooter game developed and published by ‘Behaviour Interactive‘. Meet your Maker is said to be coming out the 4th of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and pc. Meet your Maker looks like it wants the community really involved. X35 Earthwalker is known as the universe’s ultimate strategist. Let’s take a look.  

So what’s the story here. Well you are described as “the custodian of the chimera”. You was made to be a last resort to save life on earth. That’s basically it.

X35 Earthwalker 'Meet your Maker'

Meet your maker is first person where the levels have been designed by players. So expect a huge variety. Some will be simple, some creative and fun while others may be unfair even. Of course you can create your own mazrlike outpost for other players to raid and attempt to conquer. Of course these outposts will most likely be loaded with traps. 

Players must “adapt, upgrade and evolve” if you want to be victorious. When building the levels for players, you have to use some brain power. You may just have to try and outsmart players. Out think them. Like a good builder, players have a wide range of options. There’s “a huge array of customisable blocks”. There’s traps off course and even guards. Already you can imagine how to mess up intruding players.

X35 Earthwalker 'Meet your Maker'

Once your outpost level is complete then share it with the Meet your Maker community. Players will of course attempt to raid your outpost. You get rewards for every player who dies in your domain. Those who live you will have to learn from that and do better. So adjustments are needed. 

We checked out some Meet your Masker gameplay and it isn’t exactly what we expected. Before you jump into an outpost for the raiding, make sure you carefully select your loadout. Options concerning melee, defensive skills, ranged, perks and maybe your consumables. Use replay system to see how they died or survived. Raid an outpost with a friend. Teams of twos.

Overall Meet your Maker sets like it’s going to be a great game. Getting players involved in the games is a good move and create features like Halo Infinite’s Forge allows big extensions and more content. The graphics and the animations are looking very good. We are liking the details of the level creation too. The developers ‘Behaviour Interactive’ have done a great job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye out for this game. Now Meet your Maker may have numerous player created levels but they are all weak builds compared to the construction builds of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Dredge. Fishing up some trouble?

X35 Earthwalker Dredge

Dredge is a single player adventure game developed by ‘Black salt games‘ and published by ‘Team 17‘. Dredge is said to be coming out the 30th of March 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. Fishing can be good fun… sometimes. X35 Earthwalker has the best wisdom for those who want to fish. Dredge might be on to something. Let’s take a look. 

Dredge has a simple story. You are out here fishing. You like fishing? Well we don’t care and neither does Dredge. So fish already. Yes it isn’t just all fishing. There’s also something sinister going on. This isn’t just fishing. There’s something. We aren’t going to say. Yes, we do know.

X35 Earthwalker Dredge

So yeah. Head out on your boat, catch some fish and make a profit. Maybe you will buy a bigger boat to catch even more fish or maybe for traversal reasons. Regardless it’s all about the fishing. When you have time though… make sure to talk to the locals and residents. Most are normal-ish but there’s some who need to be kept an eye on. 

Once you are equipped maybe you can dredge the depths of the waters to find treasure or just some buried secrets that are relevant to the plot. This archipelago has mysteries and you have to find out what’s going on. Certainly has nothing to do with a creepy dude holding a book.

X35 Earthwalker Dredge

We checked out some Dredge gameplay and it’s what we expected. What we like the most though is that cool sea creature. A game like Dredge needs actual danger and threats to bring in some interest level. Players will need to keep an eye on the waters. We hope the difficulty is there. There needs to be some sort of fear. After all a straight up fishing game normally doesn’t sell well. We can already see how to do this game. 

Overall Dredge seems like an alright game. We aren’t impressed at all nor interested. It’s missing some elements. We like that there’s some mysteries happening. We like the style of the cargo layout and holding. We like there’s progression and our favourite is the big sea creature but everything seems to be to a smaller level. The developers ‘Black salt games’ have put some work in. We at X35 Earthwalker like underwater creatures and will have to listen up for news concerning this game. Now Dredge may have a big fish but it’s not scary enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Not for Broadcast. It isn’t

X35 Earthwalker. Not for Broadcast

Not for Broadcast is a simulation game developed by ‘NotGames‘ and published by ‘tinyBuild‘. Not for Broadcast is said to be coming out the 23rd of March 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. It’s already out on pc though but the typical case applies here. X35 Earthwalker can see through the lies on the news. This game wants to control the narrative. Let’s take a look.

Not for Broadcast is all about controlling the news. Showing what you want on TV. It;’s about what you want them to see. That’s the simulation of Not for Broadcast. So there isn’t that much to say about this game as it’s cut and clear.

Speaking of cut, you can cut the feed when you want. Switch to different video footage. Display a different video and even change the angle of the video to maybe make certain people look bad. That’s right, you can totally screw over certain celebrities or mess things up. Or be honest.

You get to choose which sponsors you want and what ads to throw out to the viewers. Now some of these ads can be real sus. We mean dodgy. As in hold up, wait a minute, this ain’t right type of ads but the choice is yours and there’s no refunds.  

X35 Earthwalker. Not for Broadcast

Also don’t forget that this is a business… sort of. You got to make money. So be corrupt like the actual news and paint narrative. Make some people look bad and do what it takes to keep things entertaining. You got to get those sponsors and put some ads in to make that extra money. So do what you got to do. We won’t as we have morales… unlike you. 

We checked out some Not for Broadcast gameplay and it’s what we expected. You literally are messing with the news. Controlling what the viewers see. You switch between videos, but things off and even censor. That’s right. You can bleep out certain words, censor what’s being said. IUrt can be quite funny at the time. 

Overall Not for Broadcast looks like an alright game. For a news controlling and manipulating world, they do offer you a number of tools and ways to mess with the viewers. There’s multiple ways to go about all this too. It’s standard and you get what you ask for from what it seems. The develops ‘NotGames’ have done an alright job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker wished this game came at a different angle itself. Now Not for Broadcast may have options concerning the news but those are too limited for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. Heat?

X35 Earthwalker Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is an action role playing game developed and published by ‘Wolcen Studios‘. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is said to be coming out the 24th of March 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. It was already out on pc but we never even heard of this game while on pc. X35 Earthwalker has the best written gaming content. Wonder what Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has got. Let’s take a look.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem clearly plans to have a big and deep universe. In Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem you play as one of the three “Children of Hemlock”. When you was a child you got rescued by the grand inquisitor known as Heimlock. Through him you grow up and become a member of the Republican army of the Purifiers. They are basically the perfect soldiers and their main objective is to defeat and purge the “supernatural and profane”. So time for you and your adoptive siblings to head out on a journey or should we say mission.

X35 Earthwalker Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is described as having fast paced combat. So expect that real action. Rush your foes or even dash into them. Swing at them, crush, slice and destroy. Dodge and get out of the way of attacks and danger while using your powers. The powers better be good. Like actually cool and interesting. Games like this tend to have similar abilities to each other and it’s nothing exciting. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has the space and universe to bring in some crazy things.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem also has a “great variety of weapons”. This is what we want to hear but these weapons need to get the job done and have good balancing. We don’t want the case where some guns are just useless. It’s hard to do but we want a variety of choice that’s actually valid. We explosives, homing, lasers, heat, repulse, drill, force, plasma, light etc. We won’t give away everything. Figure things out for yourself.

X35 Earthwalker Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

We checked out some Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem gameplay and it’s what we expected. Especially from a game of this style. Combat is looking smooth though. The speed and action is there and the animations on movement and attacks are looking very good as well… maybe even excellent. The graphics and visuals are excellent and will look better on Xbox Series X. The details are top level from what we have seen. You will be moving somewhere and see a whole battle going on in the distance or below. That’s some excellent game design right now.

Overall. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is looking like an excellent game. There’s lots we like and it could be our thing. They better not mess this up. They can easily have something great here. How they deliver the lore and reveal the Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem universe will matter here. The developers ‘Wolcen Studios’ have done an excellent job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker like to see good work and to see it succeed. Now Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem may have a new deep universe but it’s far too small and shallow for…  the ‘Earth Walk!’

Valheim. Explore and survive

X35 Earthwalker Valheim

Valheim is a survival adventure game developed by ‘Iron Gate‘ and published by ‘Coffee Stain studios‘. Valheim is said to be coming out the 14th of March 2023 on the Xbox Series X and Xbox One. It’s already out on pc and when it was we never heard of this game. Valheim is making its way to Xbox. This game has finally caught the attention of X35 Earthwalker. Let’s take a look. 

Valheim is set in a sort of purgatory but viking style. Basically you died in battle because you suck. You got carried to the ‘tenth world’. Now you have show that you’re the boss here. So face the monsters that odin dropped here a long time ago. Hopefully you can earn odin’s favour and get out of here… maybe to valhalla.

X35 Earthwalker Valheim

Valheim large world and there’s lots to see here. So get to it. Exploration is a big part of this game. Check out the locations when you have the time. There’s forests and we mean big forests. There’s mountains and rumour has it they are quite cold. Valleys that look a little too friendly and off course the sea. Get a ship and start sailing. Maybe build a little place for yourself.

That’s right… build. You can build in Valheim. Construct bases, fancy buildings, viking longhouses and maybe more. There is customisation for your buildings both the inside and outside. There’s a building tier system as well. The higher the tier the more you can upgrade, expand and have the means to defend your base. Hopefully there’s a base defence system and actual events.

Not just building in Valheim but also crafting off course. Make sure to gather materials to craft your weapons, armour, tools and ships. You can even grow fruits and vegetables. You got to eat off course. Survival is at the core of Valheim. So there’s progression for sure. You will do the traditional  start of trash and make your way up to the top. 

X35 Earthwalker Valheim

Now off course is the bosses. More like monsters who are a menace. Apparently odin dropped these guys here, so beating them should prove your worth and allow for progression in this world of Valheim. We currently don’t have any faith in these monsters being impressive, scary or even intimidating. Hopefully they are something to talk about.

We checked out some Valheim gameplay and it’s sort of what we expected. It’s got something going on, that’s for sure. The world is the strongest point about Valheim. Nothing else is truly standing out but we are interested in the level of depth to the crafting, building and customisation. The caves be looking kind of clean though.

Overall Valheim is looks like a good game so far. We aren’t impressed with it though but these kind of games is what some gamers truly dive into. The graphics are good for the graphic style. The world is excellent. Some factors aren’t clear but oh well. The developers ‘Iron Gate’ have done an alright job. X35 Earthwalker know exactly what survival games need to be top tier. Now Valheim may have a large purgatory like world but it would have been conquered instantly  by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Mato Anomalies. Neo futuristic

X35 Earthwalker Mato Anomalies

Mato Anomalies is a turn based RPG developed by ‘Arrowiz‘ and published by ‘Prime Matter‘. Mato Anomalies is said to be coming out the 10th of March 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. Things might get futuristic around here. X35 Earthwalker is confident concerning the future. Let’s take a look.

In Mato Anomalies all the action is taking place in what’s described as a “fantasized neo-futuristic version of Old Shanghai”. You control Doe and Gram who all about investigating strange anomalies around the city. Not just that but at times you’ll head into rifts to battle “demonic abominations”. So there are demons who want to take down the city. Typical demons. Hate them.

X35 Earthwalker Mato Anomalies

We do like that the two protagonists are different not just in character but also in role and skills. Doe is a detective and will gather knowledge and intel to figure out what’s going on concerning the city of Mato. While Gram is an exorcist and does the demonic battling, hopping into rifts. So players will have to use the both of them to get the jobs done. 

They won’t be alone as Doe and Gram may have to team up with what’s described as “unlikely companions”. This is telling us that there’s good potential for the story. According to the description, there will be hope, duty and justice. Things might get complicated here. So maybe gain the trust of some people you meet, even if they don’t like you.

X35 Earthwalker Mato Anomalies

We checked out some Mato Anomalies gameplay and it’s mostly what w expected. Move around the city and find clues concerning what’s going on. Talk to NPCs, handle missions and get the locations of rifts. Jump in and deal with those demons who are causing problems. Getting rewards for doing so. There’s also factions who are involved with what’s going on concerning Mato. You’ll be dealing with them as they are a factor. In combat, there’s a “shared health across all team members, gear matrix and dual-talent system.”  

Overall Mato Anomalies is looking like it’s going to be a very good game. The graphics are very good for its style. The story is going to be the strongest factor of Mato Anomalies. Meaning the game rises or falls quite a bit depending on how they do the story, its impact and what emotions it brings out of the player. The developers ‘Arrowiz’ have done a very good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for this game. Now Mato Anomalies may have demon rifts but those things close automatically when they face… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Alterity Experience. Strange one

X35 Earthwalker Alterity Experience

Alterity Experience is described as a “closed-door adventure game” developed and published by ‘Onitron studios‘. Alterity Experience is said to be coming out Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PS5 the 16th of February 2023 but it’s off course already out on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and pc. So what? There’s suppose to be an alien experience here. X35 Earthwalker is superior to aliens. Let’s take a look. 

Few have asked but yes we do write about some games that’s already out. If it’s coming to next gen consoles then that’s fine. We like to show a variety of games, not just the big ones that big companies act like sheep for rushing to get a post out. There’s many good games or cool games but aren’t big at all.

Alterity Experience is set today in the “cornwell family ranch house, located in Lucy county firefly national park, in the northern state of California.” They really zeroed in haven’t they. Players control a dude named Anton cornwelll. He’s a farmer and rancher. Let’s just say he is about to have a strange and maybe alien experience right at his home. Your job is to survive through it.

X35 Earthwalker Alterity Experience

What’s going on is that for multiple weeks there have been claims of what’s called ‘luminous phenomena’ in the park at night time. It gets worse. Farmers in the country have been finding some strange fluorescent purple substance spread on their plantations. Of course, the local authorities are useless in this situation. Not only have you spotted this purple crap on your own plantations but also near your home.

There’s not going to be any combat. You aren’t going to pull out a shotgun, like you should, and face this issue. The game explains “Your reactivity and a home automation application are the only weapons you have.” Lame but it’s all we got. Apparently there’s another element involved here. There’s described something, as an object of unknown origin. It’s said that this might be the ‘key’ to your survival here. It’s in your home. Just got to find it.

X35 Earthwalker Alterity Experience

We checked out some Alterity Experience gameplay and it’s what we expected. It’s very slow paced. It has the standard indie game feel to it. You are roaming around your home, staying vigilant hopefully, ready to counter any luminous phenomena. This includes glowing purple lights at windows and you use the apps home defence systems to close gates, lock down the place etc. There isn’t anything really interesting going on here. It’s very simple and easy to understand. Sadly it’s not our thing at all but it will be someone else’s experience.

Alterity Experience is overall and alright game. There is no problems, sounds are clear and designated for what’s going on. The graphics are good too. We would definitely more going on and we don’t how the end will be satisfying or exciting. The developers ‘Onitron studios’ have done an alright job. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear what this game accomplishes on next gen consoles. Now Alterity Experience may have luminous phenomena but it’s too dull for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
