X35 Earthwalker Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an action Role Playing Game developed by ‘Koei Tecmo Games‘ and ‘Team Ninja‘ and published by ‘Square Enix‘. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is said to be coming out March 18th 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. There’s going to be lots of battles going on here. X35 Earthwalker is the best so it makes sense for us to talk about this. Let’s take a look.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has an adventure here for us. Basically a dude named Jack, who has a serious drive to defeat chaos, must bring back the light of the crystals to Cornelia. Cornelia is a whole kingdom but it has been defeated by darkness. So yeah, expect multiple obstacles. It’s final Fantasy after all, so expect a prophecy or two. Basically Jack and his allies don’t know if they are the warriors of light or not. X35 Earthwalker already can see where this story can go and how to go about it in design but let’s see.

X35 Earthwalker Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

It’s Final Fantasy. So you know there’s going to be big battles, some huge monsters and bosses and lots of weapons, magics and abilities. Gamers should expect a summon or two. If Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin doesn’t have summons, we will be heavily disappointed. X35 Earthwalker is quite interested in the whole chaos aspect. There was chaos in Final Fantasy XIII-2 with Caius. There was the goddess etro as well. So we would like to see how chaos rolls in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

We saw a lot of different locations and environments in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Here’s a list of some: Pravoka seaport, Crystal mirage, Cavern of earth, chaos shrine, the western keep, sunken shrine, the Flying Fortress, refrin wetlands and more. We always like the variety. These places have been described as “these locations seem foreign, with strange scenery and cultural atmospheres that don’t seem to fit into this world.” Let’s see how they show this.

X35 Earthwalker Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin claims to have “wildly different movesets”. We saw different movesets in Final Fantasy XV and it’s good. We expect Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin to be better. Like Astria Ascending, there’s job specializations which effect your skills. There’s a mechanic called soul shield which allows you to “lessen incoming damage”. Sort of reminds us of hardening in Mortal Shell. Like Elden Ring, you can rest at sites of grace – we mean save points which also brings back the enemies. So grind away. This should suggest that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin should be a difficult game.

X35 Earthwalker Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Read this whole description about equipment, “Each piece of equipment not only changes base stats, but helps add stylish dark fantasy flair. Equip multiple pieces in a set to not only complete the look, but deepen the stat bonuses available to your party. Job-based skill trees help craft a party that support each other with abilities and special attacks that can offset weaknesses and bolster strengths; customize your party according to your play style.”  Now this can easily allow for some deep mechanics. We need to see that. Do it well please.

We checked out some Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin gameplay and it’s what we expected in terms of the combat style. Things look awesome already. The combat is looking real clean too. We also see what seems to be executions for finishing of enemies. They also get red crystallised by the looks of it. It’s final Fantasy so you know there’s elemental based mystical attacks. Use the right ones to exploits weaknesses, you know the drill. We are king what we see right now. Definitely. Why does Jack remind us of Cor the immortal? With a combat system this clean, we demand that the body battles be maximum epicness. They have the means to do so.

Overall Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin looks awesome right now. From the environments and rears, to the combat and the mysteries. There’s much more to explore and look into. Especially the deeper mechanics but for now. Awesome stuff.  you can even use your abilities to effect the environment. Like clear obstacles, open up paths and a bit more. The developers ‘Koei Tecmo Games’ and ‘Team Ninja’ have done an excellent job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are excited to see what this game brings.

X35 Earthwalker Elden Ring

Elden Ring is an action role playing game developed by ‘FromSoftware‘ and published by ‘Bandai Namco‘. Elden Ring is said to be coming out the 25th of February 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Elden Ring has been expected and waited for by many for a while. X35 Earthwalker has shown interest in this game. Let’s take a look.

In the world of Elden Ring, you rise (well sort off), hoping to be “guided by grace” (sounds lame) to brandish the power of the Elden ring. So yeah, there’s a ring. There’s also the ‘lands between’ which is a whole world, which you want to conquer and rule… maybe. It currently belongs to the demigods but who cares about them. So you either be a power craving being or gain knowledge. Become a lord or something else. Elden Ring has been described as FromSoftware’s “largest game”. This is a big statement which carries weight. So off course most of our point scoring is based on their large open world here and how they use it.

X35 Earthwalker Elden Ring

Elden Ring continues the style of Sekiro shadows die twice style. You know, Nioh, Mortal shell, Dark Souls style. Big boss who does massive damage while you are small, far weaker and must dodge well and know when to strike to win. Elden Ring has been described as the largest one yet. A big open world, with creatures, beings and off course giant creatures all just wondering around, looking for a fight and doing their thing. So go ahead and cause some trouble. Oh and by the way there was a rune of death and the demigods were dying. there’s a lot of story and lore going on here, so those who care will get a nice sandwich out of this game. Elden Ring, you have a lot to meet up to.

X35 Earthwalker Elden Ring

We do know that there is different ways to play the game. From decisions, endings, character build, equipment, weapons, special abilities and magic etc. There are very big dungeons which aren’t safe places for a stroll. What we are very interested in, is the world itself. We are always like open world. We want to see how they use the space. The design of the buildings, whether creative or typical lame. Is there water, can you swim, anything under the water for us? What creatures are roaming? Will Elden Ring be fair with the secrets and collectibles or will it be random nonsense? How interesting is the world overall. Elden Ring has been described as a fantasy game so we are expecting too be amazed or interested. So the world will control a lot of the points for Elden Ring’s score.

X35 Earthwalker Elden Ring

We checked out some Elden Ring gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be but the lighting is better. We take the smaller stuff seriously. Like Sekiro, stealth is a real thing and so should be practiced. the environment can be used to give you an advantage too. Like elevation, rocky, obstacles etc. Even the weather and time of day can effect some things in a fight. Use them top your advantage as well. There’s horse riding and you can use one to face others who are on horses too. Why not call on your fellow tarnished to fight by your side? Like a coward. We seriously hope the bosses are impressive, some look scary and have a solid variety. Some Dark Soul bosses were lame, like someone who lacks skill came up with the idea.

Overall Elden Ring looks like it’s going to be a great game. Visually Elden Ring so far looks great. Not Halo Infinite level but great for sure. We mentioned that we liked the lighting. We hope it stays that good consistently. We have some thoughts about Elden Ring and just know this game has multiple missed opportunities but that’s what happens when you don’t have X35 Earthwalker lead your design and development. We have very high expectations. The developers have done a great job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Elden Ring brings and does right. Now Elden Ring might have numerous bosses waiting for players but those bosses get swept aside by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker ELEX II

ELEX II is an action role playing game (RPG) developed by Piranha Bytes and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. ELEX II is said to be coming out the 1st of March 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. ELEX is back. This has caught our attention. Let’s take a look.

ELEX II is back in the “post apocalyptic science fantasy world” of Magalan. What’s happening this time? Basically the Hybrid was defeated by Jax some years ago but now a new danger is here… coming from the sky. Everything on the planet is in danger. These invaders are too powerful for Jax alone. His mission this time is to get out there and convince the many different factions to unite and work together to beat the invaders. Easy right?

X35 Earthwalker ELEX II

ELEX II is keeping the huge open world approach which is a good thing. Players are given more freedom here. This is what the description says, “The game allows you to explore the planet of Magalan with unprecedented freedom”. Unprecedented is a serious word here. So we will hold the developers to this very word. Players have a jetpack allowing them to fly around and explore the world just like Anthem. Anthem brought the amazing in game flight mechanic and made it fun. We hope ELEX II took notes and did it just as well. Flying is such an awesome way to do things so this is good. This does bring up questions concerning the big world that players can explore. How biggish it? What things are there for players to discover. How difficult is the world? Is ELEX II going to be a difficult game? Will there be level zones? Many questions for sure but we are patient.

Let’s look at the factions. There’s: The albs, berserkers, outlaws, morkons, skyands and clerics. These 6 don’t sound impressive The berserkers basically had no technology and was very simple, medieval even but ended up getting access to magic. The morkons basically locked themselves away and don’t trust anyone or eat much. They became savages and want to destroy others. Skyands get their power from the dark elex and they seek to infect everything. Basically the bad guys. No one can beat them. The albs basically gained magic, meaning they have both magic and technology. They lost their emotions and empathy in the process. The clerics are highly technical and believe they are the only ones who can save the world, destroying those who don’t join their mission. The outlaws are the losers. They uses flex to make drugs. They get high and do whatever they want. Murder, steal whatever. the law of the strongest is their mantra.

X35 Earthwalker ELEX II

The world is said to be intractable. Players off course will be interacting with the factions. This whole world is filled with NPCs. Listen to what the game says about them. That the NPCs will remember what you do and react accordingly. That they will join or leave your group and it’s based on how you act and what you do. they also can be killed. them dying or living does have an impact on the story. We wonder how far this goes though. What if you get everyone killed? Are there any characters that just can’t be killed? Are there different endings. Does their view or relationship with the player effect combat and in game play like troops on the road? Games try to get the ‘consequences of your actions’ mechanic and most fail. We actually don’t know a game that does it well yet. We hope ELEX II do better.

We checked out some ELEX II gameplay and it’s less than what we expected. It doesn’t look as smooth and animated as we hoped. Yes that it isn’t the final build but we can only judge based of what we can see. It should be improved drastically. The flying isn’t as good as it is in Anthem either. We will have to wait for that to be improved as well. Remember that ELEX II is suppose to be next gen open world action RPG. So off course we expect lot. The morkons look disappointing. Thought they would look more different from regular people. Judging from their description, we expected them to clearly stand out. We knew about ELEX and didn’t care overall so ELEX II has to be special to get us into it. ELEX II can be very good and has the room for it but delivering is a different story.

Overall ELEX II looks like it’s going to be an alright game. We want to be proved wrong though. We want it to be great but we haven’t seen enough though. The combat looks simple. Remember that this is still early. More work is going to be done. We are looking forward to seeing the variety in the ELEX II world. The developers ‘Piranha bytes’ have done an alright job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what ELEX II looks like and does when it’s released. Now ELEX II may have a new threat but this threat is a simple problem for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Spellforce 3

Spellforce 3 is a real time strategy role playing game developed by ‘Grimlore games‘ and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. Spellforce 3 is said to be coming out the 7th of December 2021 on the Xbox Series X and PS5. It’s already out on PC. Games like this need to do a lot to get us interested at all. Let’s take a look.

The world of Spellbreak 3 is set in the year 518 before what’s called “the convocation”. “The rebellion of the four royal houses has been quashed.” So that battle is over but the war off course damaged the country. Also the queen took heavy damage and is currently in a coma. Sounds like bad news all around. So some dude known as the lord marshall is ruling but he’s a rough person or something like that. Players most decide if they will remain loyal to the queen or be rebellious. Remember, we have never played a Spellbreak game. We don’t know about them either.

X35 Earthwalker Spellforce 3

Now Spellforce 3 is definitely one of those fantasy mythological games with spells, wars, clashes, swords and the sort. It’s controlling multiple units at once and targeting what you want, using specific tracks, maybe use something that’s damage over time or knock back type of game. Games like this off course has some big name competitors. So standing out here is going to be a problem. There’s certain things that we need to see.

There’s characters customisation for your hero and off course there’s skill trees. You must raise and build an army to fight big battles. Find companions who’s equipment and skills you can manage and decide. The companions also are said to have an impact on the narrative. That sounds cool for sure. There’s three factions: orcs, elves and humans off course. Choose one of the three factions and lead them to glory. There’s multiplayer as well which a game like this needs. Compete against other players in pvp or do co-operative to fight against forces.

X35 Earthwalker Spellforce 3

We checked out some Spellforce 3 gameplay it’s what we expected. We like those nasty spiders. We like the precise targeting you can do when it comes to picking specific enemies and selecting what attack. Off course games like this gives all the advantages to PC players. The locations are looking good but not enough detail in our opinion concerning the environment, trees, rocks etc. Take into account though that the initial PC release is old while the console release will have improved graphics, visuals and more. Concerning the trailer below, we wanted to use one that had gameplay but they were all age restricted by stupid youtube. They age restrict small figures fighting but some real violent and even sexual stuff is all good in their books. Idiots.

Overall Spellforce 3 looks like a alright game but not our thing. We haven’t seen anything that brings us in. It obviously has it’s fan base and players who enjoy it and that’s good. The developers ‘Grimlore games’ has done an alright job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to hear what happens with Spellforce 3. Now Spellforce 3 might have three factions but those factions are nothing special in the eyes of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker The Riftbreaker

The Riftbreaker is a new base building survival game developed by ‘EXOR Studios‘ and published by ‘Surefire games‘. The Riftbreaker is said to be coming out the 14th of October 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. The Riftbreaker definitely got our attention. Let’s take a look.

The Riftbreaker simply is about an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful and advanced mech suit (they call it mecha-suit). Like Samus Aran, the it’s a woman in the powerful mech suit. She is captain Ashley S. Nowak. The Riftbreaker is all about that survival and base building. So go out there do your research in the field, collect samples and invent new things with survival as your top priority on an alien planet called galatea 37. How did you get there? A one way portal (one way).

X35 Earthwalker The Riftbreaker

The mission in The Riftbreaker is to create and build a base that has the means to allow travel back to earth. Basically become a two way portal. This off course won’t be easy as galatea 37 (the planet) is alien inhabited and some of these aliens are very hostile and dangerous. As in trying to kill you. Your actions on the planet will of course draw attention. The player must venture out and explore the planet in her mech suit, which she calls ‘Mr Riggs’. Extract resources and even capture certain specimens. Aliens might show up. This mech suit isn’t just samples and research. It’s fully equipped for combat and can handle the toughest and most harsh environmental conditions.

This isn’t just a base building survival game. There’s also action and role playing  game elements. The mech suit can be equipped with a flamethrower for deep frying aliens. There’s a minigun which off course shreds and trashs all who stands in it’s way. There’s off course energy blades because why not? It’s a futuristic high tech mech suit. It demands energy based weapons. There’s even mortar shells that you can fire at a distance to bring that area of effect damage. There’s even more technology and equipment that the mech suit can get to bring the combat to the enemy. Now off course, there are limits though.

X35 Earthwalker The Riftbreaker

So lets sum up a bit here concerning The Riftbreaker. You are primarily focusing on base building but you must venture out to do research and gain the knowledge to build a base that allows two way portal transportation while defending yourself from hordes of enemies north outside in the field and back at the base itself. You need to build defence towers, erect walls and place gates to protect and defend and stay alive. Sounds simple. Sounds a bit too simple right now. We hope that changes fast.

We checked out some The Riftbreaker gameplay and it’s what we expected for the most part. We like that the attacks on your base from the horde of enemies get bigger each and every day. Eventually you face thousands. So the sooner you complete your mission, the better. How you build matters. You can get tactical with the base building. You can build with the walls to make a maze to stall the horde and set them up. We like the variety of aliens you can encounter during your expeditions out there but we hope they have variety when it comes to base defence as well. The horde better not just be simple enemies. Variety means more strategic builds are required.

Overall The Riftbreaker looks like a very good game indeed. There’s a lot we like about it. We like the whole concept here with the base building and defence while also being part of the action and getting out there. The game looks very good graphically. The visuals are very good too. So much colours and the environment definitely looks like an alien planet. There’s so much to say but we will leave this here. The developers ‘EXOR Studios’ have done a very good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to this game. Now The Riftbreaker may have scientific technology and an advanced mech but those things are too primitive for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Nexomon

Nexomon is a adventure Role playing game developed by ‘VEWO Interactive‘ and published by ‘PQube‘. Nexomon is said to be coming out the 17th of September 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PS4. It’s already out on PC though but who cares. We want to shout “gotta catch them all” but we hear few stuff is different. Remember we are writing as someone who doesn’t know anything about Nexomon. Let’s take a look.

Nexomon… no not Pokemon. Okay let’s drop the crap. We are all thinking of Pokemon but guess what? Pokemon doesn’t own the idea of finding creatures, training them, battling and catching them all. Others can do it and we are happy to see this. So we definitely want to see what Nexomon has to offer and how it was different. Sadly we never heard of Nexomon which tells you how weak PC is. So have a good mindset and check Nexomon out.

X35 Earthwalker Nexomon

Here’s a big difference right of the boat. Players get to choose from seven starting Nexomon. More options for gamers. This alone brings some interest. How will they balance the 7 starter Nexomon? Will one clearly be the weakest of the group? We will have to see. Another big difference right here is the story and it’s most likely the biggest difference between Nexomon and pokemon. Nexomon isn’t about just beatng gym leaders and being the best and maybe running into a criminal team like magma, aqua and off course rocket. The world is actually in danger and there’s a Nexomon king. Who is this king? An actual nexomon or just a dude with the strongest nexomon? Players must save the world from this nexomon king.

Now off course you have the formula of finding Nexomon, catching them, collecting them all, evolving them and off course battling with them. The combat is there. It’s 2D animated style. Each nexomon has some animations. The animations are nothing special but it’s nice to see. Simple but nice. There are 9 elemental types: Mineral, fire, normal, ghost, plant, water, electric and psychic. These off course have advantages and disadvantages over each other. There are characters known as ‘legendary champions’. So these must be the big guys for players to defeat. We hope it’s done in a different style to Pokemon with their gym leaders and elite 4 etc. We hope it isn’t a simple here they are in a set building. Let’s go in there and fight them.

X35 Earthwalker Nexomon

We truly don’t need to say more as you should know what to expect from Nexomon. There’s no way around it. It’s basically pokemon but more emphasis on a story and some slight differences. There are 300 different Nexomons so there’s already a lot to find. We will say that the variety of locations in the world of Nexomon seems nice, nothing amazing or new but nice. There’s big forests off course, there’s snowy areas and even volcanoes. Variety is always a good factor in gaming. Speaking of variety… there is ten different regions for players to explore.

We checked out some Nexomon gameplay and it’s what we expected. We do like how there’s more Nexomon presence and action on the main screen, where you are travelling, running around etc. It makes the world feel more alive. The design of the Nexomon from what we have seen so far is good. We like the variety. Some look silly, some are sort of lame but there’s some that do look quite cool… but we haven’t seen them all. Wwe hope there are some better ones. The co bat has no extra or deeper layers to it. Seems standard to us which means nothing new and cool but very easy to understand and get into.

Overall Nexomon looks like a good game. A good fun game. If it has what pokemon has and more then it should be good indeed. We do hope to see more concerning the Nexomon and the regions and if truly there’s anymore to combat than the standard we are use to. We hope there’s heavy presence of Nexomon in the Nexomon world to make it stand out more and show more life. There’s opportunities here. The developers ‘VEWO Interactive’ have done a very good job with the game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see who can catch them all… Nexomon. Now Nexomon may have 300 creatures for us to catch but even that is too easy of a challenge for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Edge of Eternity game

Edge of Eternity is an action role playing game developed by ‘Midgar Studio‘ and published by ‘Dear Villagers‘ and ‘Maple Whispering‘. Edge of Eternity is said to be coming out the 8th of June 2021 on PC but the fourth quarter of the year 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. This game is big and looks good. Let’s take a look.

Edge of Eternity is set in a fantasy world with magic and really advanced technology. The world is called Heryon. Some time ago some aliens show up and bring the pain in abundance. There was a huge “cataclysmic war”. This war required the maximum use of technology and magic. This resulted in immense devastation. The alien invaders at some point released what’s called ‘the corrosion’. This disease turns living things into messed up abominations. The whole situation in Edge of Eternity is messed up. This is where you come in.

X35 Earthwalker Edge of Eternity game

Now Edge of Eternity has a lot of combat here. Thank goodness for that. Combat matters. We have seen animals, infected animals, ships, elemental like beings and mechanical foes. Some of these threats are large, some enemies look really cool. The combat off course is turn based. The battlefield is separated into hexagon grids. This allows for clear positioning and measurement. Turn based strategy games are unique in how much players need to apply thinking power. We aren’t sure how deep the combat goes, in Edge of Eternity, concerning the system and mechanics. We know there’s magic, direct attacks and off course abilities but that’s too vague. We need to know more.

X35 Earthwalker Edge of Eternity game

Here’s some quick information about Edge of Eternity. Yasunori Mitsuda who did music concerning Chrono trigger and Xenoblade Chronicles, worked on the soundtrack for Edge of Eternity. There’s a crafting system. There’s suppose to be some highly emotional twists and moments. There’s 5 human companions to unlock. There’s over 120+ cartable items. There are dungeons. After all what action role playing game doesn’t have a dungeon of some sort. Maybe best of all is the fact that you can have a giant furry friendly friend. Basically some big cat looking creature called a Nekaroo who helps you out by giving you a ride. This thing might win the hearts of a number of players.

X35 Earthwalker Edge of Eternity game

We checked out some Edge of Eternity gameplay and it’s what we mostly thought it would be. You travel the world freely, even riding a Nekaroo to explore the whole area. There’s enemies out there but we’ve got flashy powerful attacks to finish them off. There’s chests to find and open to get new weapons and items. There’s a progression system and crystals that need to be used for upgrading characters. The music makes itself known for sure. It’s presence can’t be ignored. There’s more to see and we are interested.

Overall, Edge of eternity looks awesome. We are liking the music, liking the combat so far (still need more information), like the flashy moves, special effects and definitely the graphics and visuals. Just look at the world. It’s big and looks beautiful. You have to take a look. The developers ‘Midgar Studio’ have done an awesome job so far with Edge of Eternity. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to seeing more of Edge of Eternity and what it has to offer. Now Edge of Eternity may look fancy and epic but it looks boring and standard when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

More information

Scarlet Nexus is a new action role playing game developed and published by ‘Bandai Namco‘. Scarlet Nexus is said to be coming out 25th of June 2021on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Scarlet Nexus sounds interesting and looks fictional fictional alright. Let’s take a look.

Scarlet Nexus is a strange game for sure. Scarlet Nexus is set in the distant future. It’s so futuristic that something called a psionic hormone, was discovered in the human brain. This gives people extra sensory powers. Now off course something like that will change the whole world. People having powers and stuff. Most people can’t be trusted with powers for starters but whatever. Soon after all these evil mutants come down from the sky. They are referred too as ‘Others’ and have a serious craving for human brains. We can already see where this is going.

We betted that even though people have psionic powers now that only the best and strongest stand a chance of combatting and beating these mutants. We were right! Not shocking at all. When are we EVER wrong? Here’s what the official Scarlet Nexus website said “Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, were our only chance to fight the onslaught from above.” So off course the government has been scouting and recruiting good psionics to an organisation called ‘Other Suppression Force’ or OSF. They are humanity’s last hope and chance. First of all that’s a crappy name. Other suppression force sucks and they can do better. Second they better be recruiting everyone with psionic abilities as no ability is truly useless. Don’t just get the best.

Scarlet Nexus has a dual story system going on. You can choose to either be Yuito Sumeragi who is described as “A bright and positive-minded young recruit with a kind heart.” We already like him. Yuito Sumeragi has psychokinesis which is a very powerful ability for sure. He is the second son of the Sumeragi family which is a powerful and wealthy family. His father is currently leading the government while his brother is “serving in command at the OSF”. What a family right? The other character is Kasane Randall. She is the typical mysterious super talented hardened girl who has a soft side that only those she trusts get to see. her abilities are no joke though. She also has psychokinesis and is an elite soldier. She’s described as elite soldier but that doesn’t mean she’s part of the Septentrions. Those are the two main characters but there are many other significant characters you will encounter.

It’s best to play both stories as the stories of both Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall will connect and only then will the full story be revealed in Scarlet nexus. By the way, the people responsible for the story of Scarlet Nexus are the same guys who did ‘Tales of Vesperia’. So you pretty much get what’s going on here by now. It’s simple really. Far distant future, play special characters with great powers, slice and attack dangerous big enemies, and find out what’s going on. The real story. Oh and here’s a bit about psychokinesis. You can move and lift objects but there’s also psychic type abilities too like infusing yourself with your powers to enhance attacks and abilities and in some sources of fiction even create blasts and projectiles. Scarlet Nexus seems to be taking a different turn though.

We checked out some Scarlet Nexus gameplay and it’s what we expected. You can fight with your melee attacks using your sword while also using your psychokinesis to to throw big objects and slam enemies with stuff like even a car. The Others, those mutants, look so strange and lame. That doesn’t mean they weren’t designed well. Some characters are designed to look boring while others are designed to look cool. These things look lame. If we were in the Scarlet Nexus world, we wouldn’t take them seriously at all. The character designs are nice, not awesome though, but we recognise the style for sure. An good and easy style to work with. The city though looks very good. Basically futuristic Japan.

Overall Scarlet Nexus looks like it’s going to be a very good game. We aren’t impressed with anything but most things don’t so that’s not a big deal here. We wanted more information concerning the combat and how psychokinesis functions in this game as it’s different across fiction. We do like the action though. The developers ‘Bandai Namco’ have done a good job with this game so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep and ear open for Nexus Scarlet. Now Nexus Scarlet may have psychokinetic powers but those we have seen here are a complete joke and ineffective against… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Indivisible is a RPG platformer game that was developed by ‘Lab Zero Games‘. Indivisible came out on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Right of the truck etc just say this is an awesome game. This is once again another awesome game that didn’t get enough attention. Silly games like Among us gets attention but not Indivisible. It’s the world we live in. We have beaten the whole game, written about it before, had a lot fun and so here’s our views. Let’s take a look.

Indivisible has many strong points but our favourite has to be the characters. From their design to most specifically their interactions with each other. As you go through the game you’ll meet a whole host of different characters with very different designs from each other. Very different. Our favourite characters are Thorani, Zebei and off course Dhar. The characters have made us laugh more than once. We have cared about some characters, one by far the most. Before all that though take some time to actually look how Zebei fires his bow with his up-based attack where he’s in the air. He got too much skill and swag.

Our favourite scene of character interaction has to be when Thorani, Zebei, Baozhai, Dhar and Ajna tried the strong alcohol during their escape from the slime at the iron kingdom. It had everything. Clear relationships between certain characters, age reveals, behaviour, humour and more. That moment when Kushi asked to try the drink and Zebei simply said “None for you child” then kushi got upset just made us laugh and reminds us of a father with a daughter or big brother little sister sort of relationship. It makes sense as Zebei is a full fledge protector while kushi is an apprentice. Zebei is responsible for her. We learnt that Dhar is 20 years old while Ajna is 16 (clearly). Thorani is the clear mother of the group and clearly mature and behaves wonderfully. An excellent example woman. We won’t cover everything as you should see for yourself but Dhar can’t handle his drinks and Baozhai is a fun strong person to have around.

Next let’s talk about the adventure itself. It’s a big game. You won’t complete this in two hours. You seat in an Ashwat village, then get to a Flying Fortress, then reach Mt Sumeru, then a desert, then a lovely city at the end of the desert with a port, water, merchants, everything. Then the adventure becomes less linear and opens up for access to three more places: Iron kingdom, Tai Krung and Kaanul. We enjoyed the variety of environments and each place is very different from each other which is a good thing. Tai Krung is basically china town but for some reason has reggae music. Hey! Shut up! That background level music wasn’t chinese. It was reggae, off course a bit of a twist to it but reggae nonetheless. Iron kingdom is clearly the military power country with machinery and advanced technology. Kaanul is so nature based with trees, plants, temple styled buildings and more. It’s a jungle. These levels also have a Metroid feel to it in terms of you can’t go through here because you need a certain ability. So you go to another place to learn it and progress. Lots of travelling to and fro through the places.

Next let’s talk about the combat. It’s so different from other games. We like and respect uniqueness. You start with two characters and one button on your controller controls one character’s actions like ‘A’ button and the other button like ‘B’ controls the other. You use those buttons to attack AND to defend. To get a perfect defence you need to time it and press the button at the same time as the  attack comes in from enemies. So it can get confusing at first. An enemy will choose who to attack or both and you must control the right character for defending and attacking. Then you will have four characters fo A for one, B for 2, Y for three and X for four if on Xbox for example. This is where some peoples brains can get confused. Holding up or down while pressing the button does a different attack from default. There are advanced combat techniques too. So you have to remember and juggle all this information at the same time. Seeing new players trying to manage all this is funny. You get use to it quickly though. The combat has layers to it from juggling enemies to generate more iddhi, to combo-ing into an ultimate back into a juggle etc.

Another great thing about Indivisible is that we could easily understand the characters. What they are about, their mentality and what their negatives or issues were. We understood Gingseng’s passion for botany and his goals. We knew he would be honoured to study under angwu at the tower of wisdom. Gingseng for the most part was normal. We liked him. Ajna right from the start we knew she was a typical troublesome teenager. She wakes up late, not very responsible person, backchats and argues with her dad over everything. Even a smack across the head doesn’t help (if she had a Jamaican dad her attitude would change). She claims she listens while interrupting people. You just knew she had to go on a journey or maturing, listening and being a better person. It was good to see her development. She cares though, values friendships greatly, loves to help others, determined to help the world and right her wrongs. Thorani is empathetic, sense others feelings like if they are sincere or not. She has a strong desire to want to help others and cares for others. Even calling Ajna and others her children (well she is old enough). We knew her problem would be that she would want to help others so badly that she is willing to over tax herself. Risk or harm herself in the process. She also doesn’t open up to others has much and keeps it in. Sure she’s over a thousand years old and can’t relate woman problems to 16 year old immature Ajna but there’s Zebei who’s an adult. Phoebe was married so she can understand. Baozhai is a no no as she might make some moves if you know what we mean. So not her.

The game wasn’t cryptic at all. Most stuff was easy to figure out, a good amount of clues was given concerning what to do but the game didn’t hold your and. There were secrets to find, hidden characters to discover, ways to upgrade yourself through the ringsels. Each character had a personal mission of their own for you to discover and complete which results in… we aren’t entirely sure what the benefit is except sometimes getting a new costume. We think the characters gets stronger too as they get way more hearts which the game didn’t explain by the way. We believe they get stronger, the new customer is cool though. We didn’t even get an achievement for completing all of them. Their own personal quests were fun to pursue and complete though. It definitely relates with the character in some way and were for the most part interesting. The most unique character was Zahra. gamerant are terrible at analysis and overall not good gamers as they said she was a terrible character in combat and not worth a space. They are so wrong. So they lost any credibility they had with us. Zahra buffs your team one by one and you can stack the buffs which are speed, damage and defense. The buffs are gone if you get hit. You need to perfect block with her to keep the buffs. So if you are skilled you can stack speed, damage and defence boosts on all characters which makes them very powerful. Zebei with a speed boost makes him so fast it’s actually over powered. We have seen Zebei use all his attacks, run back, recharge and go back in before the other characters even get a chance. Zahra is amazing.

Most characters have their own clear uses while there are some who are basically useless from a combat perspective. For example Yan just gets outclassed in damage, juggle and effects. Naga rider is a better version of her when it comes to juggling, ultimates and straight up damage (unless there’s something we don’t know). Zebei is faster than her. We don’t see a reason to use her. Kushi and Altun get outclassed by Tungar for area of effect damage. Her ability to fly isn’t as useful as you think, quite limited. The dog Lanshi hasn’t impressed us. The dog is for set ups and we definitely like how different the dog operates from the other characters though. Sadly Baozhai isn’t good either. Her default attack does no damage but powers up the cannons which aren’t impressive damage and can hurt our own teammates, so little to no combo potential. It would have been good if all characters had their own use or advantages. Even Phoebe eventually got replaced on our team and we liked her.

Another negative about Indivisible is that we started new game plus but there’s nothing so far that’s different about the game. We even saw someone claim there’s nothing different. Ajna has different colour hair, and has the same design as the new Ajna after her interaction with Kala but still no difference. We thought maybe what she says would be different or maybe the characters would recognise her and engage with her differently. Off course we haven’t finished new game plus but so far everything is the same which is very disappointing. We also noticed a very small map mistake where the ma shows you there’s an incarnation (blue flame symbol) on the map when there isn’t.

Here’s two more negatives we had with Indivisible. First is a secret hidden boss called meownster. We found this secret boss and we are sorely disappointed. First of all it looked stupid. We just a huge disappointed sigh when we first found it. That’s not how a powerful super strong final boss should look. Kala looked cool but meownster was lame. Next it was badly designed. You take its life down and it then gets a bit bigger and gets full health back. You do this 5 more times and you wonder how many times do you have to beat it. It’s annoying when you have no idea. It then gets stronger moves with a few that can one shot your entire team. The entire boss fight was boring, it was long, we couldn’t be bothered and worst of all, you don’t get anything for doing it. No over powered move/ability, no epic custom, no cheat menu no nothing. Don’t waste your time on this boss. Not worth it.

The last thing that was a negative that we certainly hated was Ajna’s tribute to Dhar. Spoiler alert. We were mad that Dhar died. Made us not want to continue playing. He sacrificed himself for the Ajna, for the team. Ajna finds his sword and her tribute to him was that she didn’t like him, blames him, will never forgive him but thanks him for preventing her from becoming something she would hate. That’s it! What kind of bullcrap tribute it that for someone who went on a whole adventure to you, dedicated himself to help you save the world, the first person you encounter (not on good terms) and last of all gives his life to help you, for the mission. We disliked Ajna after that. We didn’t care about her anymore. We were done. We don’t care if Dhar killed her dad and that she’s 16. Childish or not. Let’s defend Dhar. Dhar killed her dad yes but they were on opposing sides of a battle and normally in battles and wars one side loses and people die. Dhar was raised in a lying dictatorship like country in an army that believes what they are doing is right. He was indoctrinated as he grew up. He knew no better. Ajna and the crew fought and most likely killed many beings and people on their journey like the soldiers of the iron kingdom. How many of them were dads, brothers, sons, husbands etc. She didn’t care… but when it’s her dad its bad. That’s called battle, war whatever. Dhar learnt the truth, admitted what he did was wrong and explained how he was indoctrinated and thought his leader would help bring world peace but Ajna still won’t forgive him after death. Lame. Pathetic. Forget Ajna and her stupid tribute, rather they didn’t have that scene. Dhar is our favourite character.

Here’s another good thing about Indivisible. The final boss and main villain of the game is Kala. She looks cool, clearly powerful and has her own issues and story. Even Kala does through some development and learning too. Every encounter with Kala was a good one. At the start of the game we thought she was some particle thing ike energy. Then we see she has a body and solid form. She is huge and can step on you. The final battle is completely different from everything else we ever faced. The very end where we had no hope of beating her due to her power but by remembering the basics of solid defense you out last Kala’s assault. Kala was a great villain. She made sense, especially in terms of combat and power. Unlike other video games like god of war where kratus is able to kill zeus who is supposed to be the strongest of all the gods by far and way superior to kratus. In Indivisible it makes sense that Ajna is no match for Kala and can’t beat her. It’s realistic in that sense. So victory must be taken in another way. It was exciting to be right outside of Kala’a area about to head in to settle the fight.

Overall Indivisible is an excellent game. We had lots of fun playing it. 100%-ing this game isn’t really hard. Just got to put in time. The bosses were cool to face with the serpent queen being the most cryptic. For a bit we didn’t know what we were suppose to do at one point. Off course we aren’t going to go over every little thing. Oh by the way. Everyone go get this game. It’s available on the Xbox game pass (greatest deal in video game history). We literally just surfed the game pass and saw this game and was like yes we get to play it. Downloaded it and had a great time. Indivisible is an adventure that you have to go on. We didn’t talk about the clear cultural inspiration for this game. Indivisible is a 9/10 for us. Try it for yourself. Truly an amazing game. Now Indivisible may be an amazing game but it’s nothing special if you compare it to… the ‘Earth Walk!’
