X35 Earthwalker Gord

Gord is a survival Real Time Strategy Game developed by ‘covenant.dev‘ and published by ‘Team17‘. Gord is said to be coming out the 8th of December 2023 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and pc. X35 Earthwalker likes the different cultures in games as it adds unique elements. Gord is trying to bring a unique experience for gamers. Let’s take a look.

Gord is supposed to be a unique adventure. You are responsible for a whole people. The Tribe of the Dawn’s people. You must build your gord. From simple hamlet/settlement to a real base/fortress. This off course won’t be easy as players will need to keep track of multiple things and manage said things. If you a gamer who ain’t got management skills, then expect to have a difficult time for complete failure.

X35 Earthwalker Gord

There’s main objectives which will guide you mostly but there are side quests that will keep you making decisions, putting you in danger and keeping you active. Gord will have you building structures and bringing up palisades. Gord will have you a lot of danger. There’s human threats like enemy tribes. There’s mythical threats like monsters and there’s also mysterious forces and powers happening in the surrounding area.

X35 Earthwalker Gord

You have to take care of the people. Every aspect. Your people can get sick and off course they will get hungry and thirsty. Even death is a factor. If a person loses their relative then they may suffer from it as in impacting their sanity. If things get critical there will be consequences like running away and off course the typical breakdown. So what happens outside and inside the camp matters.

What’s expected and included in this Gord Slavic style game are gods. If you please the gods, like with your prayers, you can get access to their spellcasting. These spells and incantations are designed to help you out in battle. Some are offensive types and others are defensive types. So expect incantations like even taking control of beasts. There’s the typical wrath or rage of the gods to demolish foes. So yeah, maybe bone on the gods good side.

X35 Earthwalker Gord

We checked out some Gord gameplay and it’s not exactly what we expected. It’s currently not impressing us right now. We like the depth of it and the many factors you have to into account while playing and the mechanics. Glad there are random encounters in Gord which can shake things up. Players may end up dealing with an infection in the area or maybe find and attempt to take down a legendary creature. The combat is very low scoring points. It gave us world of warcraft type combat vibes which we of course hate also. World of warcraft is so boring to us. We haven’t got much to say about it.

Overall Gord seems like an alright game. We have to see more of this game. We also need more concerning the combat banned appeal. We do like the rain effects on the characters and the lighting of like the torches in the night. The change of seasons is nice too. The difficulty of the game doesn’t seem hard enough. Like fake hard. Gord doesn’t seem like a difficult game. The developers ‘covenant.dev’ have done an alright job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will leave it up to the gamers to show what’s good with Gord. Now Gord may have a whole slavic adventure but it’s not adventurous enough for… the ‘Earth Walk’.

X35 Earthwalker Spellforce 3

Spellforce 3 is a real time strategy role playing game developed by ‘Grimlore games‘ and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. Spellforce 3 is said to be coming out the 7th of December 2021 on the Xbox Series X and PS5. It’s already out on PC. Games like this need to do a lot to get us interested at all. Let’s take a look.

The world of Spellbreak 3 is set in the year 518 before what’s called “the convocation”. “The rebellion of the four royal houses has been quashed.” So that battle is over but the war off course damaged the country. Also the queen took heavy damage and is currently in a coma. Sounds like bad news all around. So some dude known as the lord marshall is ruling but he’s a rough person or something like that. Players most decide if they will remain loyal to the queen or be rebellious. Remember, we have never played a Spellbreak game. We don’t know about them either.

X35 Earthwalker Spellforce 3

Now Spellforce 3 is definitely one of those fantasy mythological games with spells, wars, clashes, swords and the sort. It’s controlling multiple units at once and targeting what you want, using specific tracks, maybe use something that’s damage over time or knock back type of game. Games like this off course has some big name competitors. So standing out here is going to be a problem. There’s certain things that we need to see.

There’s characters customisation for your hero and off course there’s skill trees. You must raise and build an army to fight big battles. Find companions who’s equipment and skills you can manage and decide. The companions also are said to have an impact on the narrative. That sounds cool for sure. There’s three factions: orcs, elves and humans off course. Choose one of the three factions and lead them to glory. There’s multiplayer as well which a game like this needs. Compete against other players in pvp or do co-operative to fight against forces.

X35 Earthwalker Spellforce 3

We checked out some Spellforce 3 gameplay it’s what we expected. We like those nasty spiders. We like the precise targeting you can do when it comes to picking specific enemies and selecting what attack. Off course games like this gives all the advantages to PC players. The locations are looking good but not enough detail in our opinion concerning the environment, trees, rocks etc. Take into account though that the initial PC release is old while the console release will have improved graphics, visuals and more. Concerning the trailer below, we wanted to use one that had gameplay but they were all age restricted by stupid youtube. They age restrict small figures fighting but some real violent and even sexual stuff is all good in their books. Idiots.

Overall Spellforce 3 looks like a alright game but not our thing. We haven’t seen anything that brings us in. It obviously has it’s fan base and players who enjoy it and that’s good. The developers ‘Grimlore games’ has done an alright job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to hear what happens with Spellforce 3. Now Spellforce 3 might have three factions but those factions are nothing special in the eyes of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Golem Gates

Golem Gates is a new real-time strategy (RTS), multiplayer online battle arena, card battle game developed by ‘Laser Guided Games’. Golem Gates is coming out in April 2019 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 but already out on PC. Quite a bit of good stuff is being said about this game. Let’s take a look.

In Golem Gates, the universe is very different. The game takes place in a land that has been damaged and ravaged by wars… ancient wars. There are Golem Gates which spawn and release ancient warrior machines. Players control a character known as the ‘Harbinger’. You are an outcast who has the ability to command manipulate nanites from a remaining power called ‘The Ash’. You will have to face these ancient warriors, these golems and off course learn and solve the mystery surrounding the long lost creators of the Golem Gates.

Golem Gates

How the game works is not so simple. Players must collect spell cards (this isn’t Yu-Gi-Oh) called Glyphs. Players must then use to build a deck. This deck is what you will be using in combat. Battles have be described as “fast-paced and highly tactical”. Decks, cards all means that Golem Gates has resource management. The glyphs are a big part of Golem Gates but not all there is. There is more. By the way we don’t look ahead on the PC version of the game as that just ruins out for us.

Players will have to build their army, bulk up their forces and definitely get tactical. Expect some objective styled missions like capturing and holding locations. Head on battles and collision will be everywhere and players need to focus on the battle at all times. These ancient warriors aren’t a joke. Now back to the glyphs. Use the glyphs to call in the buildings which provide that field and presence advantage, traps for turning attacks in your favour, units for off course fighting and even tech for that extra boost and advantage. There is even buffs to make your units plus others more powerful.

Golem Gates

Another feature in Golem Gates is that players can make moves and play glyphs at almost anytime and anywhere pretty much. If you are there, then you can do it. You can use the glyphs to do almost anything. You can drop in emergency defences, turn weak scouts into a dangerous army, add a bunch of units to your army and even hide a whole outpost. Don’t get too excited though, as your enemies can use glyphs too. You can literally spawn and build in a powerful army but with one glyph your enemies can make that whole army get destroyed.

We checked out some gameplay and the main thing is how good Golem Gates look. The graphics are very good and the details of these characters, units and even the effects of the lightning and attacks are detailed. Many have commented on how good Golem Gates looks rightly so. We are liking the different size and designs of the units, especially the big one. We liked how the battles come off as really big ones. Units clashing, large units getting a lot of attention and how the battles can easily change in favour and direction through the glyphs. In some ways Golem Gates does remind us off Supreme Commander 2.

Overall Golem Gates looks like a good game so far. The story has some mystery but we wonder how they handle the unravelling of it. The units are looking good but from what we have seen, the enemies don’t look that interesting. The glyphs idea and that you can use them pretty much anytime is very good. The developers ‘Laser Guided Games’ have done a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye out for Golem Gates and seeing what it gets done amongst gamers. Now Golem Gates may have ancient warriors but even that army doesn’t stand a chance against… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Ancestor Legacy

Ancestors Legacy is a new squad based Real Time Strategy game developed by ‘Destructive Creations‘. It’s coming out the 22nd of May on the Xbox One and PC. Now the developers placed a lot of emphasis on strategy. Let’s take a look.

Ancestors Legacy takes place in Medieval Europe, the Middle Ages. Between the 10th and 12th century to be more specific. In Ancestors Legacy players take control of an army and storm their way through medieval Europe in a series of campaigns. There are four groups to select from: Slav, Anglo-Saxon, German and Viking. Most gamers will have no idea what some of these groups are but we guess the internet can help.

Being tactical and having strategic approach to situations and campaigns is key. This has been emphasised greatly in both single player and multiplayer. So charging in while screaming may not work. Players must think about everything, including places you currently control. So utilising the full range of available tactical options, managing your settlements and temporary bases and using the environment to your advantage like elevation, cover or choke points is practically everything.

Ancestor Legacy

Now single player is filled with missions that are based on actual historical events which occurred in those days. Like all other Real time strategy resource management is combined with base building across large battlefields. The only slightly different thing about Ancestors Legacy is that it’s squad based battles. This means players must drop the attitude of moving and selecting one unit at a time. On a real time battlefield where armies can run on top of you, you’ll need to control squads and groups at once. Get your fingers and thumbs ready.

Ancestor Legacy has quite a lot of things going for it in terms of game mechanics. High quality stuff so far.  Ancestor Legacy uses a Cinematic battle camera view allowing players to be right in the action. We do wonder what the options for this will be like. Oh and by the way, this was done with Unreal Engine 4 so expect great detail in the graphics and good rendering

We checked out some gameplay and we weren’t impressed. Don’t get us wrong, we can see the details and all the great effort that went into it. If what we saw was true then this is a high quality game but hasn’t made us go wow or got us interested. RTS games like Halo Wars 2 and off course Supreme Commander 2 are always two games that we will compare other RTS to as they are the best examples. Ancestor Legacy will need an amazing system to compete.

Overall this game is very well made. The historical story mode can obviously be educational and the Unreal Engine 4 that they used really does help the game out. The details are clear. The developers ‘Destructive creations’ did a great job with this game. currently as it stands, we at X35 Earthwalker are not looking forward to this game. We do like how the battles are happening in multiple places and it all looks like a real battlefield with different weapons and advantages. We hope others like the approach Ancestor Legacy took. Now armies are numerous and powerful but they aren’t enough to stop… the ‘Earth Walk!’
