Halo Infinite is the game that so many many people have been waiting for. It’s a First Person Shooter looking like an open world game developed by ‘343 Industries‘ and published by ‘Xbox Game Studios‘. Halo Infinite is coming out on 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Halo Infinite has so much potential that it’s crazy. There’s so much room for the good stuff to make this the best game of the year easily. So here we will just talk about what we want to see but we won’t give away everything. Let’s take a look.

Now as the universes ultimate strategist and easily the most intelligent gamer ever, X35 Earthwalker knows what he is talking about is is the most authoritative. Off course we like to hear from you guys so let us know what you think. First things first, Halo Infinite has dropped huge hints of open world. We are convinced that it’s open world and if you want to see our first G-blog post on Halo Infinite then use the link here. Hall is one of those games who can easily make their game open world. Look at the previous halo games and check out those levels where you ride a warthog through the mission and there are trees, structures, rocks etc and you can see how Halo is capable of exploration. When you look at the map in Halo Infinite, just imagine it bigger. Imagine being able to eventually explore the entire Halo ring. After all the Halo ring is basically a planet.

Open world is just the start. The next thing that we want Halo Infinite to have is wildlife. We mentioned this in out first blog post about Halo Infinite. Halo Reach had large animals that can attack and kill you in the night mission with the spartan Jun. Those things were cool but so easy to kill. Halo Infinite showed deer or antlers. We need the wildlife yes as it adds to the environment. After all Halo is a massive planet sized ring. Surely there has to be bears, sharks, insects etc. Bring them in. Imagine killing the banished in the area but you take cover to regain your shields but a bear comes out from behind and one shots you. Scary ain’t it? Hold up though. This is Halo as in the 26th century… the future. Bring in some alien advanced looking animals too. Bring in beasts with large forearms and tusks. Animals that clearly aren’t from earth. Get creative! We want to see a dangerous but passive sand worm thing that you can detect through the rumble of your controller or headphones and you have to stay out of its path or its instant death.

Another thing we do want to see… is the return of warzone. Warzone is the best game mode in Halo history in our opinion. It’s the perfect representation of a war. You could get ran over by a ghost, a dude snipe your head of with a sniper rifle, or a guy with a sword with three speed boosts running around. Anything can happen, like in a war. It forces players to react, adapt and deal with the constantly changing situations that happen. You think you are safe with Nornfang but then you get assassinated, robbed and tea bagged by a guy who is invisible thanks to active camouflage. Warzone is an excellent mode which does need some adjustments though for Halo Infinite. Warzone is crazy. So they need certain limits of the number of vehicles a team can have, the req weapons be split into tiers and thus make it easier to limit and manage.

The next thing we want to see in Halo Infinite is a Battle Royale. Hate on it all you want but if there is any game that has the universe, design and right to do a battle Royale… it’s Halo. Look at the view of the land and level in Halo Infinite during the lift segment of the gameplay trailer. It looks perfect for a battle Royale. Imagine a huge map with mountains, grass, forests etc, someone is high up on. A Spartan on a hill with a sniper rifle trying to snipe but there’s someone with an active camouflage sneaking up behind them. Or someone with a banshee flying around looking for the right moments to strike but a player finds a rocket launcher that has homing capabilities goes to take him down. Imagine maybe 100 players. Everyone starts with the assault rifle. There are loot drops in the form of ODST style pods. Boosts to your shields can be found, armour abilities like active camp, sprint and even hard light shield or even bring back armour lock can be found but have limited uses like twice or whatever depending on how strong the ability is. Maybe each player can earn a respawn depending on the number of kills they acquire like killing 1 person gains a respawn but then need 5 kills to earn a second respawn. When respawning you can pick within a radius of where you died that you can ODST drop back in. It’s possible here.

That’s some of the things we want to see in Halo Infinite and will make the game much better. Make it open world, bring in wild life, bring back modes like warzone and even breakout and do Battle Royale. This is just some of the stuff we want to see in Halo Infinite. Simply put, 343 Industries should not be afraid to try new things. Halo Infinite is being called “the most ambitious Halo game ever made” and even “the most expansive Master Chief campaign yet”. They need to live up to these. Get ambitious. Now X35 Earthwalker is excited for Halo Infinite. We will keep an eye on this game and see what happens. Now Halo Infinite may have all the potential but it’s nothing special when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Stranded Deep is a new open world survival crafting game developed and published by ‘Beam Team Games‘. Stranded Deep is said to have came out the 21st of April 2020 on consoles. It came out on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s also out on PC. The really question is “how deep are we stranded here?” That’s what matters. Let’s take a look.

The story in Stranded Deep is your typical standard stranded story. You control a man who was on a plane. Something goes wrong and you end up stranded somewhere in the vast pacific ocean. You are alone. Yes, you are the lone survivor. Like the movie ‘Cast Away’. You start right from there. You get to a nearby emergency raft. The game then gives you control after some time has clearly passed due to it now being day. Then you can either raft away (if you think that’s wise) or head to the nearby island. Then the real game begins. Time to survive.

Yes, players have some options. You can set your difficulty, gender so male or female, whether to use the existing world of generate a new one, whether to have permadeath or not and even decide whether your world has sharks and snakes or just make them passive (which is for babies and gaming wusses). Like why would you not have the enemies in the game. This isn’t Minecraft. Or is it? It’s good that you got options and can make some changes to the game. Options is always good.

This game literally reminds us of Raft. If you think about it like that, then you know what to expect and what to do. You run around, explore the place, find supplies, gather resources, fend off against threats and off course crafting and building. At this point you know what to expect. Not much to say. Gather your wood build a hammer, build the foundation for your base of operations.

There are threats in this game though and so they should be. Players, if they aren’t complete wusses and babies, will have sharks and snakes in their game. These two are threats and can end your life. Sharks have aways been a famous enemies concerning island and water survival games. If you fall in the water or didn’t see a shark but went into the water then you will get a nasty surprise. Survival games like this need an actual threat. What numerous island and other survival games fail at is not creating fear. When you are stranded with no help, surrounded by danger and all alone, the average person would be scared. Pikmin created fear and did it well for it’s colourful friendly style. Players made sure to get all their pikmin back to the onions or stay close before it turns night. These survival games don’t have that feeling. You see something you easily know how to handle it and then you quickly reach a point where nothing can stand up to you and there’s nothing to be afraid of. We believe that Stranded Deep will have the same issue.

We checked out some Stranded Deep gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. It’s a like Raft but more graphically realistic, deeper and has more going on. There’s krakens or giant squid creature in the sea which is cool. We need more threats like that. You can build machines that can fly, collect trophies like in Terraria. We feel like there’s more emphasis on survival in Stranded deep though. It definitely has more detail too. Raft is still a fun game but Stranded Deep wants to be the biggest most serious island, water survival game. We like that you have to go underwater to explore and even search sunken ships and find goods. There’s a day and night cycle. You can hunt animals for food and even use spears or a spear gun.

Overall Stranded Deep looks like a very good game. We just really hope the threat level is turned up. It needs to feel like a survival game. The water has to be scary. It should make you never want to go in. The crafting looks cool with what you can eventually make. It looks good too. Like Sea of Thieves, the water looks amazing. The developers ‘Beam Team Games’ have done a great job with this game from what we can see so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see more of what Stranded Deep has got. Now Stranded Deep may have creatures in the water but even those things know to obey… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Pathologic 2 is an open world survival thriller game developed by ‘Ice-Pick Lodge‘ and published by ‘tinyBuild‘. Pathologic is said to be coming out on the Xbox One the 12th of December 2019 and PlayStation 4 in 2020. It’s already out on PC though. This game is supposed to be centred around a certain plague that’s destroying society. Let’s take a look.

Pathologic 2 is open world, so expect a whole world. Basically everything is taking place in a town. This town isn’t normal at all. The town is being devastated by a deadly plague. This plague is more than just a disease. What’s worse is that the chief local healer is dead. The player must take his place. Now the developers make this perfectly clear that you can’t save everyone in Pathologic 2. You will be forced to make what’s called lose-lose choices in situations. You need to get to know the society and try to make some friends or allies if you want to call them that.

So you can play this in different ways. Either make some allies and be friends with the locals or you could either just look out for yourself and as they say, “carve out your own path”. When a plague is going on and people are dying with victims going crazy it’s normally better to have allies and people who can back you up.

Now there is some danger off course in Pathologic 2. You probably thinking, well obviously X35 Earthwalker, you guys mentioned the plague but there’s more though, the victims of of the plague have also got a problem with you and will make survival somewhat difficult, so you are facing both the victims of the plague and the plague itself. You don’t have forever though. Players have 12 days.

Like Sims you have to manage your hunger, thirst, tiredness etc. Pathologic 2 is all about survival. Off course at the start of the game, things will definitely be bearable but the game is designed to get harder and harder. Your body just get worse and worse and maybe an organ becomes more unstable than ever before.

We checked out some Pathologic 2 gameplay and it’s sort of what we expected. Fights in this game are short and vicious, you could fight people for their wallets or mug them. Some fights can cost you your life though. The one enemy you can’t really face is the plague itself. Remember that this plague is more than just a disease. Much more.

Overall Pathologic 2 just looks like another survival game based heavily around choices you make in a set period of time. We haven’t seen anything that has gotten us interested in this game though. Nothing stands out to us. We have seen from reviews that it must be good but a game must be more than just a good game for us. The developers have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker aren’t looking forward to it being on consoles but others will. Now Pathologic may have a dangerous plague going around but even this plague has no effect on… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire is a new open world action RPG developed by ‘The Gentlebros’ and published by ‘PQubed Limited‘. Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire is said to be coming out in the second quarter of 2019 on the Xbox One, Android, Nintendo Switch, IOS, PS4 and PC. Now if you like cats, this game might be for you. Let’s take a look.

In Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire the world os basically cats and dogs with off course more emphasis on the cats (not barking fair). There’re two kingdoms and they are at war with each other. They are: the cats of Felingard and the advancing dogs of the Lupus Empire. Why can’t cats and dogs get along? Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire tells the “tail” of two kings who have to work together in order to reclaim their thrones. This is where the player comes in. Control the cat and dog and do your best to get your thrones back. Off course it won’t be an easy journey.

Those who played the previous Cat Quest game will somewhat know what they are getting into when they enter Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire. Except this time there will be more battles, more explosions and more magic to make you into a fur-midable enemy. Cat Quest but basically bigger and expanded upon. There is a wider range of attacks and weapons too. Some of the new weapon types include staves and even master swords. Obviously master swords are better.

Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire allows two player co-op. Someone controls the dog while the other controls the cat. Readers should hopefully by now know how we feel about co-op in games. Players should have the option of playing with friends and others in local co-op. Good move developers. Even more good since there are dungeons to dive into explore. Your team mate can help watch your back as there are traps in there. Challenges and problems are easier to solve with others.

Like with other RPGs players need to get tactical and quite creative. Players should make combos concerning their abilities, weapons and more. For example the attributes of the passive abilities allow for  quite a bit of options. There’s more to this game than just simply hitting attack all the time. Get the right timing for dodges and evade all damage, know what types of enemies you are facing and what’s the best way to put them down.

There are side quests too in Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire. What RPG doesn’t have side quests? They aren’t suppose to be just missions to pass the time. Each one is said to have it’s own story which off course will help explain what’s going on in the Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire universe. The lore will be expanded and probably hear some interesting stuff.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s not what we thought. How you move around on the map is very cool. You are literally running from area to area, walking around ponds, seas and seeing all the world structures too. Also enemies will just run up to you too and try to “axe” you a question. Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire has actually gave us a bit of a surprise. Not bad. From what we have seen, the graphics look very good and the sounds are good too. Clearly good work has went into this game.

Overall Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire seems like a very good game so far. From the smoothness of the gameplay to how expanded it is. There’s quite a bit going on in this game and we like what we see but the game does seem to easy in terms of combat and difficulty. It looks so easy to evade and handle enemies and we hope there are more enemies and greater difficulty. The developers ‘The Gentlebros’ have done a good job with this game. Now Cat Quest II – The Lupus Empire may have some serious cats and dogs but none are as serious as… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Outer Wilds

Outer Wilds is a new open world adventure game developed by ‘Mobius Digital‘ and published by ‘Annapurna pictures‘. Outer Wilds is said to be coming out 2019 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC. This game is said to have a big mystery at the heart of it. Let’s take a look.

Outer Wilds is definitely different from your average game. The story in Outer Wilds is that players are the newest member of Outer Wilds Ventures, which is a space program. It’s goal is all about searching for answers concerning this strange and unique solar system. What’s going on? Basically the solar system you are in is stuck in a 20 minute time loop. Basically every 20 minutes a star explodes and everything starts again, including you. Strange right? Can the loop be stopped?

Outer Wilds

This is the big mystery in Outer Wilds. What’s going on here? Players will need to explore everywhere. Go into ancient ruins and find what else but secrets and lore concerning lost civilisations and it’s up to players to draw their own conclusions about what’s going on. The planets aren’t normal or typical, as each one has something dangerous going on.

Each time the solar system in Outer Wilds resets players will have different opportunities to learn more, find more and reach even the farthest reaches within the game. The developers said that their goal was “to give players the experience of being an astronaut exploring a new and unusual frontier.” So this experience better be out of this world right? See what we did there? Whatever… your the one who’s still reading this blog.

Outer Wilds

The planets, in Outer Wilds, are loaded with many locations and secrets. Some are off course hidden and they change as time passes. For example you could find a planet but as you are exploring it, it’s surface crumbles. Another example presented was an underground city but you have limited time to explore as it will get covered and swallowed up by sand. So time is crucial. Players will need to use skill and determination to find the secrets as they are all guarded by natural disasters and natural hazards like tornadoes, lava, explosions and even shifting land and grounds.

Off course players will need the right equipment to handle such planets and explorations. In Outer Wilds, players will have access to their spaceship which is for the planetary travelling and also a jetpack which will give the extra needed mobility while traversing the area. Scouting and knowing the land is key so you have a surveyor probe to do that for you. You can also take pictures but please refrain from taking selfies. Lastly use a device called the signal scope which allows players to track down signals that are sound based. There’s lots of stuff some get to it and use them wisely.

Outer Wilds

We checked out some Outer Wilds gameplay and it’s mostly what we expected. It’s like another exploration game with main focus being on the mystery that needs to be solved. The environmental dangers are cool and being in space adds to the atmosphere. We noticed that there are no enemies which is strange since you explore multiple planets. So no combat which we think should have been added. Graphics from what we have seen so far look very good and the sounds are good too. We like how the planets vary from each other and the different natural hazards going on around you. We are curious as to how the secrets and lore is revealed to the player.

Overall Outer Wilds looks like it’s going to be a good exploration game. Nothing entirely new and exciting but definitely good for the genre that it is. There’s always a fan base for these types of games and Outer Wilds does bring quite a lot to gamers. The most interesting is the 20 minutes reset. The developers ‘Mobius Digital’ has done a good job with this game. We at X3 Earthwalker look forward to seeing a bit more of what Outer Wilds has to offer. Now Outer Wilds may reset every 20 minutes but even that has no effect on… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Biomutant

Biomutant is a new third person combat, action, open world RPG developed by ‘Experiment 101‘ and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. Biomutant is said to be coming out in the second quarter of 2019 on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. This game certainly stands out from everything else at the moment. Let’s take a look.

Not a lot is known about Biomutant right now. Concerning the story we know that there is a tree. Not an ordinary one. It’s called the tree of life (once again getting their ideas from the Bible). This tree is for some reason bleeding death from it’s roots. A plague is also on the loose and it’s negatively effecting everything, including the land. There are different animal tribes and are currently not in agreement and against each other. So it’s up to one, the player to solve this. Either unite everyone or put everyone down.

Biomutant

Now since Biomutant is a open world game players will assume there are ways of traversing the world. There is. Players can get around by foot (off course), jet-ski, mechs and even a air-balloon. Interesting since the game is set in an post apocalypse world. There are more methods of travelling like mounts but you’ll see for yourself. There’s more to this world than what you see. There is more under the planet surface and even high up. There are mountains to climb, tunnels to explore, the wildland which has seen better days, bunker networks and even an archipelago which looks cool by the way.

So if it isn’t clear by now, players will need to be big on exploration in a game like this. Biomutant has a lot to do. First of all you have to learn what’s happening with the tree of life, handle the plague and deal with the tribes… but wait… there’s more. There are more mysteries to be solved, probably concerning the inhabitants. There are certain characters for you to find and meet. Some creatures need to be dealt with and discoveries to be made. The players action are said to play a part in the story, a major part. We have heard this all the time. Most games don’t do a good job at handle the “actions and decisions effect the story” system. We hope Biomutant can do this well. By the way, the story will be told through a narrator.

Biomutant

Biomutant does remind us of Metal Gear Survive in one very particular way. Areas that require certain equipment for the player to explore safely. In Metal Gear Survive you had the dust which was toxic for humans and you need an oxygen tank to temporarily survive. In Biomutant, players will need an gas mask and oxygen tank in order to explore the Dead Zones. Equipment is very important in this game. Players can equip protective hazard like gear to protect from bio-contaminated enemies and substances. You can even equip thermos-resistant clothes to handle those really cold areas. So the kind of gear you equip and wear is completely up to you but it makes a difference.

Biomutant wants to keep things new and exciting and here’s how. It’s third person combat and there’s some good emphasis on mobility and agility. You can move how you want and that’s how it should be. Combat is a mixture of melee, shooting and even powers and abilities from your mutations. The melee is martial arts. Your character can learn new Wushu combat forms through natural progression or from master fighters. Some make sure you know some kung-fu. Decide when to get up close and beat your enemy down and when to get some distance and range down the pain. We are looking forward to seeing how they mix these things together.

Biomutant

If you was paying attention you would notice that we mentioned mutations. Your character is able to have his genetic structure re-coded. This will off course effect many things. For starters how you look will be different. Your attributes will be affected. If you receive exposure to radioactivity like the kind found in bunkers you” experience psi-mutations, your mind will be affected and you’ll learn abilities like elevation and telekinesis. If you get exposed to bio-contamination that will cause physical mutations like getting a barbed tail or even mantis claws. So there are many ways to develop your character.

There is crafting in Biomutants too. Developers claim players are “totally free when crafting weapons”. You can craft guns like shotguns, revolvers and rifles (off course). Craft melee weapons, whether they be heavy melee type, or sharp like slashing and piercing. You can add different parts to add modifications like a battery powered chainsaw (Gears of war inspired) and go even further with bio-contaminated sludge vials. We did say players should explore, as you may encounter a character who might  craft some stuff for you. These things can include, a jump pack, bionic wings (sounds awesome) and even upgrade your automaton.

We checked out some gameplay and from what we can see, things look great. The graphics are very good, the world and areas look really interesting. The sounds are just good so far. The different animal mutant enemies don’t look so tough. The customisation and outfits your character can wear are showing some good variety right now. The giant monsters look like a real problem though. So far we are seeing high potential with Biomutant.

Overall Biomutant seems really good. Not much information on the main character though. This open world looks like players will have lots to do. We hope the creativity expands more. More interesting mutated animal enemies and a good amount of super dangerous enemies that players can’t face in combat. The developers ‘Experiment 101’ did a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to seeing what Biomutant fully has to offer. Now Biomutant may have some kung-fu but their skills are nothing compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

The devision 2

The Division 2 is a new action shooter open world game developed by ‘Massive Entertainment‘ and published by ‘Ubisoft‘. The Division 2 is coming out the 15th of March 2019 on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The Division 2 is going to need something big in this game to have a stand amongst the other games coming out. Let’s take a look.

So what’s the story? Basically Washington D.C is in trouble (again). A whole lot of instability and that goes very well with lawlessness. This creates lots of chaos. So Washington D.C just might collapse. Even worse and adding to the chaos is that some say a coup will take place. A situation this big and serious requires every division agent on the scene. Time to save the capital.

In the Division 2, Players take the role of a Division member. The Division is a group of civil agents. They are an elite group and they are the last line of defence when everything else goes wrong or fails.

The Division 2 will be quite different from the previous release as this game’s Washington D.C is suppose to be the representation of the real city. The Division 2 aims to be as authentic as possible. So when moving around in the city, players can actually go see views of actual neighbourhoods, landmarks, natural landscapes and off course enemy hideouts. So be a tourist and go look around.

The devision 2

Also players need to watch out for Dark zones. Basically almost anything can happen here. What are dark zone? Go do the research yourself you lazy- what we meant to say is, Dark zones are areas that haven’t been touched for months. It’s a dangerous walled of section. If you go inside, expect enemies in the form of enemy players and even the environment itself. So are you sure you want to go in? Think about it.

Also within Washington are warring factions. There are three. The Hyenas, True sons and Outcasts. The Hyenas are basically scavenger scum. They steal whatever they can and destroy everything else. They target struggling civilian encampments and use violence and intimidation to have their way. Opportunists but of the worse kind. They have a council for leadership made up of the strongest leaders. One thing to note is that they aren’t that organised.

The True sons are a very militant group. They are a bunch paramilitary warlords, experienced fighters who rely heavily on their high amounts of firepower. They continue to expand and dominate. their leader is a former JTF officer who thanks to his combat expertise and ruthlessness have made the true sons a force to be feared and taken seriously. They are very organised and smart. Take note that since they are ruthless, they might be easier to bait.

The devision 2

The Outcasts are the bitter survivors of a forced quarantine. They hate you, your mother and everyone else. They are all about revenge against society who didn’t help them and those who imprisoned them in the first place. Their leader is all about blood shedding, very charismatic and pushes her followers to bring justice to the guilty ones. They also like to kill indiscriminately and spread sickness, so probably biochemical weapons.

So yeah, players will have to face these three factions. So you need to be prepared. Division 2 claims to offer fully customisable gear. There will be a variety of armour, cosmetics that can be found, exotic items that are only for high level players, just like in Destiny 2, more gear sets and lots of weapons. Further expansion of abilities and equipment basically at endgame.

You can customise the abilities and equipment that you bring on your missions. Think carefully about what you use and what you depend on in situations. You can use the Hive which can be used to release small drones that will attack enemies within an area. There’s also the assault drone which can be controlled remotely to target and bring destruction on enemies. Seeker mines are basically mobile mines that chases enemies down within a range. The chem launcher can fire different types of rounds from acid and explosive to repairing nano bots.

We did mention above that you can face enemy players in dark zones. There are also modes for PvP action like Skirmish which is basically death battle and Domination which is more objective based and capturing areas.

We checked out some gameplay and so far things look much better than the previous release. The animations are very good. The graphics look very good. The sounds seem good too. It does seem slower in pace than Call of Duty. A nice variety of weapons. The rewards you earn in multiplayer can be used in the main campaign. The health seems fair for now but when you play it, it may be a different story.

Overall The Division 2 so far seems like a very good game right now. The story is like that from a movie. Since it’s open world we can expect lots of quests which we hope aren’t mandatory. Open worlds aren’t easy to get right but we won’t say more. The developers ‘Massive Entertainment’ have so far done a good job. We at X35 Earthwalker aren’t looking forward to the Division 2 as it hasn’t got anything that attracts us. We will keep an eye on it though. Now the Division 2 may have stepped up their game but they are still nowhere near the level of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Sea of Thieves

Sea of thieves as you should know by now is a shared world adventure game developed by ‘Rare‘ and published by ‘Microsoft Studios‘ is one of those games that has a lot of potential. The developers,  have done a very good job with this game and there are million of players currently. As we hoped, they didn’t stop there. More has come to Sea of thieves. Now the only update that has yet to come is the Forsaken shores. We are only just talking about these different updates.

Most of the new stuff has already happen by now. The cursed sails was the second and is most likely the more obvious of the three. Basically some undead crews are also roaming the seas. This is the one of the things we mentioned in our first G-blog about Sea of Thieves we were hoping for skeleton crews who are hard to kill to sail around and give some players a serious run for their money… or should we say loot. Sort of like Captain Barbossa in pirates of the Caribbean, curse of the black pearl. Cursed sails also brought in a new alliance system and a new ship type. The skeleton battles was a temporary thing but we hope they bring it back.

Sea of Thieves

The newer one that most are talking about is the forsaken shores. This update is suppose to be available the 27th of September. Forsaken shores opens up a region called there devil’s roar. Now this area is friendly nor is it safe. There are rocks being launched from volcanoes which can destroy your ship and you along with it. There are geysers which naturally you do not want to be near when they activate and thanks to all that heat and fire, some waters are too hot for even the toughest pirates to handle, especially when it’s superheated. Those are just some hazards, so expect more.

It’s quite obvious that the developers are working hard to make Sea of Thieves a major game. One update that got a lot of players excited was the hungering deep. A giant super shark basically that hanged out at a certain location and when conditions are met, it shows up to battle pirates. It was huge, intimidating and many didn’t know what to do about it. When you look at all these things and everything else in Sea of Thieves you can see the potential. We at X35 Earthwalker have many ideas and we hope they have the creativity that we have and get some more big exciting stuff out there.

Overall if you are already a Sea of Thieves player then you have much to look forward too especially since an open shared world game like this relies on the new updates and additions. If you have never played then do your own research and see for yourself the growth of the game and how many players are already out there before making your decision whether to join this world or not. The developers have done well. Now Sea of Thieves may have some big things coming but all of them are small when compared too… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Generation Zero

Generation Zero is the new open world action game developed by ‘Avalanche Studios‘. It is coming out in 2019 on the Xbox One, Play Station 4 and PC. There is a beta as well which players can sign up for. Generation Zero has gotten the attention of some gamers. Let’s take a look.

Generation Zero is set in Sweden in the 1980’s but obviously reimagined. Poor Sweden, because the countryside has been invaded by some very dangerous machines that will attack on sight and attack with force. Off course with games like this, there is always a big mystery to figure out and solve. Why is all of this happening? What’s with these machines etc.

The gameplay style has been described as cat and mouse. This instantly tells gamers that running out there spraying all your weapons at the enemy is a bad idea, since the players will in this case be the mouse. Players will be wise to fight by strategy and stealth. Players can lure enemies to certain spots for an ambush, distraction or to shoot a barrel or something lethal next to them. There are multiple options in Generation Zero.

Generation Zero

The enemy is the machines. There are different types of them too with their own functions. Ticks are the smallest but have got some movement going on. They will try to get close to slash you and off course blow up. Seekers who act like scouts/snitches. They will alert other machines of your location, so take them down fast or hide. Runners are a problem, they are fast and in groups. They will take you down with their automated weapons and even try to ram you over. Tanks are the big ones who have missiles and big guns. They are heavily armoured and a major threat. Come with a plan or die.

Each enemy isn’t just copy and paste or spawn and Respawn in Generation Zero. Each one has their own mission and task to complete. They roam about in certain ways. So when you encounter a specific enemy and let’s say destroyed one of its components, like weapons, armour etc, that damage stays. it is permanent and will still be there if you happen to run into that same machine enemy again. So let’s say you met a powerful enemy which you don’t have the means to beat but you can weaken it, well next time you see it, that enemy will be much easier to beat.

Generation Zero

So players in Generation Zero have to destroy the machines, stay alive, look for equipment and items that can really help, get better weapons and solve the mystery of what happened here in 1980’s Sweden. Best of all is that Generation Zero is also multiplayer. That’s right, 1-4 co-op multiplayer. So you can share loot with allies which is a feature something Destiny 2 should of had. Revive downed allies and use your skills to your advantage.

We checked out some gameplay and Generation Zero looks good right now. The machines have some variety to them and function differently. The full day and night cycle combined with the different weather you can get is a nice touch and does impact certain aspects. There are simulated ballistics 1980’s style music and good graphics rendered with the Apex Engine. We just hope that this game doesn’t become too easy, especially when playing with friends.

Overall Generation Zero looks like a good game for sure. We like that it’s multiplayer. We like that it’s open world. Stealth and survival works well here and the enemies seem like a real problem. The game difficulty needs to be high in this game. The developers ‘Avalanche Studios’ did a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to seeing completely what Generation Zero has to offer. Now Sweden may be in trouble but there is no trouble for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Conan Exiled

Conan Exiles is a new open world survival game developed by ‘Funcom‘. It’s coming out the 8th of May on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. A number of eyes are on this survival game. Let’s take a look.

Now many have grown up hearing about Conan the destroyer, whether the character or film. It was quite an interesting world with it’s creatures, people, magical abilities and items. Now here is Conan Exiles. This open world survival takes place in a barbaric wasteland. Sp straight away we know survival is going to be a problem because wastelands tend to not have much around. In this game players control their own character in an attempt to survive, fight and build in this deadly world. So to some extent this is like Minecraft but more brutal.

Now this wasteland isn’t empty. There are many secrets dark ones and many ancient ruins of ancient civilisations. This world is in fact quite rich with many things to do and explore. You start with literally nothing but the end game is the exact opposite. Players could end up with large fortresses and literal cities. Yes, character progress in Conan Exiles goes that far. This game is actually quite merciless. The stuff you do here are truly barbaric. For starters you can torture bandits (and other bad guys) until they submit and become your slave by tying them to the wheel of pain. You can even sacrifice the still beating hearts of your enemies to your god on very dirty and bloody altars (about as pagan as it gets). This is some dark stuff but in the fictional world of gaming… we like it.

Conan Exiled

Charge into full on wars, battle monsters and dangerous creatures alike, harvest materials and gear up to traverse the barbaric wastelands. Survival here isn’t just simply eating and drinking. Nope. There are dangerous weather conditions to deal with like a scouring sandstorms. Conan Exiles has some real secrets going on and one them is a serious problem. Players must protect their characters minds from being corrupted which will lead to insanity. If you want epic though then check this out… you can summon the avatar of your characters god and watch them completely destroy your enemies before you. Now that’s incredibly scary.

Everything is explorable from those ancient looking runes all the way to the sand dunes over there (pay attention). While exploring, do not forget to harvest materials which can be used for crafting weapons, items and more like armour, clothes and equipment . Use those materials also for the building of your home, then camp, them, base, then fortress, then kingdom. Some ruins are more dark and scary than others, that’s probably because they hold secrets to what happened to the civilisations before you, what lead to their end and more dark secrets and good knowledge. Oh and those gods we mentioned earlier that you can summon… yeah we can control them directly!

Conan Exiled

Those bad guys that you can capture and torture aren’t just for entertainment. You can put them to hard work. Get them to be your army for when you attack other places or you can make their job crafting and other useful stuff. The battles are serious business. You can destroy the place and actually see structures crumble due to explosive or great force. The developers claim that we can see heads rolling and limbs flying which would be real cool actually. We hope they pull it off well. Conan Exiles is also  has the option of multiplayer. You can play alone locally if you want or take the survival to another level dealing with real players in the same server or like Minecraft have your own world and invite some friends over where you have complete control and so can stop people from stealing from you.

We checked out some gameplay and we can say that Conan Exiles is looking real awesome. You can hunt normal animals like elephants for ivory (poor creatures) as an example but there are some things out there that can only be killed in specific ways like silver arrows or weapons. Some you must hunt alone in the dark, at night. That’s cool. This game definitely reminds us of ARK: Survival Evolved. So what do you do if your on a online server and another player summons and sends a god avatar after your base? Well… the short answer is run for your life (women and children last!).

Overall this sounds like an epic game. The graphics are very good. The sounds and effects like lighting for caves and ruins is excellent. The avatar of gods are massive and powerful but leave the summoner vulnerable which gives players defending hope and a chance to end it. Weapons come in variety and purposes. Battles are fast and strategic. There is a lot going for this game and it has caught our attention. The developers ‘Funcom’ did a fantastic job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to Conan Exiles. A avatar of a god may be huge but it still isn’t big enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
