City of Brass

City of Brass is a new first person Arabian Nights adventure game developed by ‘UpperCut Games‘. City of Brass is coming out 4th of May on the Xbox One, Play Station 4 and PC (Steam). Now this has gotten some attention and for good reason but why? Let’s take a look.

The story in City of Brass is about as simple as it gets. A Arabian Nights style game. The City of Brass is a legendary place. It is filled with both reward and danger. The danger is that deadly traps and trouble making spirits but the reward is that the streets are brimming with the wealth of the nation. So off course there is always someone who wants to try and get this wealth for themselves. That someone… is the player. A cunning thief who is aiming for the city’s heart which is where the big treasure is.

The player isn’t going in unarmed. The cunning thief wields a sword a blade and a whip. The whip is the more versatile of the two as it can be used to swing to places and safety, trip and stun enemies, grab objects, disarm enemies and break weak barricades. The sword off course does what it says on the box. A game like City of Brass in a setting like this means you just know there’s going to be lots of movement and traps. So prepare to avoid poison gas traps, slide under blades (like in the movies), jump over pits and don’t let those spears hit you. You can use these traps to your advantage though to destroy the enemies.

City of Brass

City of Brass isn’t some easy mode pleasant game. You are expected to die a lot of times, learn from your mistakes in an attempt to get further and further, hopefully to reach the heart of the city. It has been said that no two playthroughs are the same. The use of both the sword and whip have been balanced to the best of their ability to have the two weapons work with the movement speed and actions like sliding and jumping to keep the pace smooth and fluid.

Some enemies may require a bit more than just your causal sword swings. In that case your surroundings can be interacted with. For example you can pick up bricks and hurl them in your enemies faces. Not only that there are explosive vases that can be thrown as well. Set enemies on fire, blow them up or like mentioned before force them into those nasty traps to finish them off. Now players will encounter many beings in City of Brass but not all are bad and out to harm you. Some genies for example allow you to trade loot for secrets, upgrades, protection, unlocks, gear and more. While some genies actually grant you the opportunity to use one of three wishes.

City of Brass

Now makes sure to collect as much treasure and loot as possible as that all increases your score. It’s all about the score here for bragging rights. Do not pass up any chests you find as they can contain relics, weapons and even armour upgrades. Now do all this while keeping one thing in mind… you have limited time. If you fail to get to the exit in time then… well… legends say you will die by dervish. Don’t ask us who that is. Find out for yourself. Now that we think about it. This game sounds similar and to Spelunky. Running around, using a whip, can find weapons and items, collect loot, get a score, a shop to trade for items, getting to the exit and if not in time then something bad will happen. Yep, definitely like Spelunky which is a good thing since Spelunky was a great game.

Now if all this seems to easy for you, City of Brass has a feature which should sound familiar but will amp up the difficulty for you in many ways. Players can add divine burdens which are global modifiers which spawn more environmental hazards, change enemy abilities and much more. So basically you could have more enemies with wackier or mixed up abilities while having more traps around to avoid while traversing the City of Brass. This system reminds us of Halo and it’s skulls which make everything harder during the campaign and firefight.

We checked out some gameplay and can confirm that things can get real crazy in City of Brass. Glowing monstrous but nicely dressed enemies will come for you from many places, all hostile and armed. Players must know when to stand their ground and fight, or take flight by whipping to swing to another location for safety. Some chests are traps so when you open them, make sure to stand back otherwise you might get a bunch of poison in your face (that’s a bad thing). Also it’s what we thought. The levels are ever-changing but logical procedurally generated. Meaning forget having a pattern laid down or a map as it’s different each time. we are currently liking what we are seeing.

Overall City of brass is a cool looking game. The graphics are nice, the sounds are nice and the level designs are mixed up and bringing something new to keep players on guard. Hopefully there is a greater variety of enemies. The developers ‘Uppercut games’ did an excellent job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to seeing this come to the consoles and what gamers think about it. Now the City of Brass may be legend but it’s not as legendary as… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a third person hack and slash adventure game developed by ‘Ninja Theory‘. It’s coming out on the Xbox One the 11th of April but already out on PS4 and PC. This game has been given good reviews. Let’s take a look.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is set in the viking times which off course means norse mythology. It’s about a celtic warrior named Senua, who begins a quest and not just any quest for this one mainly takes place in her mind. The players get to dive in also. What’s Senua’s aim? She is fighting for the soul of her dead lover. Basically entering viking hell. So like Dante’s Inferno but not as cool.

Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice also features three modes on the Xbox One X. To make things simple: The High Framerate keeps frame rates at 60 frames per second, High resolution mode will off course make resolution a priority while Enhanced visuals will boost the graphical and effects. More information concerning the three modes will come closer to release date.

The game is more than just a game as the developers wanted to tackle the issue of psychosis. The main character, Senua, suffers from it and it does add that extra layer of deepness to the game. Matter of fact their website has a help section that allows people who deal with psychosis to find help in their area which is very thoughtful and we at X35 Earthwalker like that very much.

The game has received mostly good reviews and Xbox gamers can get 10% off on the Microsoft store until the end of it’s launch week. The cost we believe is £25 ($30).

We checked out some gameplay and it does look interesting. It’s definitely more psychological. The combat isn’t as heavy and it’s said to be a more linear experience. What’s really cool is that your character hears voices that are in her head but with the right settings and head set it almost sound like it’s in your head as well. The graphics are great and with the Xbox One X it can only get better. Sounds are great but the voices are much better. Professionally recorded.

Overall Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a good game. It’s interesting and got some messages in there for gamers to take note of but we find it too much mind action and less of combat. it’s quite basic at times. The puzzles can get annoying. It’s not really our kind of game. The developers ‘Ninja Theory’ did a great job with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Now Senua is basically messed up and the only thing that can truly help is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Far Cry

Far Cry 5 is a action adventure open world first person shooter game and is the fifth main title in the Far Cry series developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by ‘Ubisoft‘. It’s coming out the 27th of March on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Now apparently there’s a new prophet in town and already we can declare that he’s a false one. Let’s take a look.

The story here in Far Cry 5 is very simple. Basically a false leader called Joseph seed rose to prominence. He’s believes he’s a divine leader of some sort but the truth is, that he’s a radical preacher who uses gun, intimidation, violence and more to control and keep the people in line. He established a congregation which he named ‘Eden’s gate’ which is a militaristic doomsday cult. The residents of Hop county have had enough and formed a resistance and here is where the players get involved. Players control the sheriff’s deputy who is going to arrest Joseph Seed. Joseph isn’t alone though. He has the ‘Herald’, sounds fancy but they are just literally his family.

Far Cry 5

Now Far Cry 5 is said to be the biggest Far Cry game yet. The game put a lot of focus in making sure players get as much freedom as possible. Players do not have to take on Joseph alone because the campaign is for two player co-op as well. So grab a friend and a rifle and cause some mayhem. What? You thought it was just guns? Nope. You can hire people to fight with you (guns for hire and even hire animals apparently. We heard that you can get more than a dog to help you out. Some have even got a bear to help them out in combat. Can you imagine firing at some resistance members when all of a sudden a bear comes out of no where and starts mauling your friend on the right? So what do you do?

Far Cry 5 A.I’s isn’t as straight forward as other games like Saints row and Grand theft auto. If you strike the enemy real hard then the enemy will strike back just as hard. If you become recognised as a real threat then the cult will seriously amp up their defences and efforts to take you down. Now that sounds scary but we at X35 Earthwalker have yet to see a open world action game like this where the enemies are not a joke. The cult should have the advantage with better and more weapons and people to fight so it should be done in a way that taking on the enemy head on is just suicide. Maybe have a mission where stealth is strongly advised and if they do get caught reinforcements will show up and when they do it’s pretty much game over because of how overwhelming they are. At least make it clear that Eden’s gate is a true threat.

Far Cry 5

Now when it comes to weapons you certainly ain’t short of them in Far Cry 5. Expect weapons like the: MBP .50, MP40, Compound Bow (that’s ours), AR-C, Grenades, dynamites, melee weapons like a baseball bat, pistols and much more. It doesn’t stop there. You will find vehicles in this world too, like: Coupe, Tractor (why not?), pin up trucks, hydro planes, helicopters and even a 18 wheeler widow maker. Off course there is much more in a game as big as this so exploration should be your thing. Make sure to take time out to go and find these weapons, conquer side missions, build the resistance, hire some guns and off course have a good time taking down a false prophet who is blinding and hurting people.

We checked out some gameplay and we saw the stealth side and the action side of Far Cry 5. When it’s action the game feels sort of like Saints row with enemies coming after you and just firing. You can with some cover mow them down. While when it comes to stealth things like deciding who to eliminate first and when to move and hide the bodies add extra layers to the mechanics. Overall the combat is sort of what we expected but we hope to see how the whole the harder you strike the harder the enemy strikes mechanic come into play. Over from that, there isn’t really anything special about the gameplay. Sure there is much to do when you actually start playing but we will see when it come out.

Overall Far Cry 5 looks like a really cool game but it hasn’t gotten out interest. The story, the gameplay (mainly combat) is just good. The graphics are very good though and we love the idea of marching into battle with a bear or cougar to maul your foes but other from that it’s like we said before feels sort of like a Saint row. It needs something real interesting for us to get into it. Maybe that will change in the future. We will see. The developers ‘Ubisoft’ did a very good job with this game and you can see that a lot of work went into it. We at X35 Earthwalker are not looking forward to this but will keep an ear open for it. Not false prophets are a complete joke and make up lies and therefore will be crushed by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Far: Lone Sails

Far: Lone Sails is a new vehicle led adventure game developed by ‘Okomotive‘. It’s coming out somewhere later this quarter of the year on the PC but even later for the Xbox One and PS4. This game looks very different but how good is it. Let’s take a look.

Far: Lone Sails sounds quite simple. Basically you control and travel across an ocean but their a plot twist… the ocean has turned into a desert. Players are following tracks of a once flourishing civilisation. Who they are, where they went and what happened is not known. It won’t be a simple journey as there will off course be obstacles and worse hazardous weather. This means players will have to recognise what weather is happening and what must be done to the ship in response. This game sounds a whole lot more like a vehicle simulator than an adventure.

If you haven’t guessed by now, players can upgrade their vehicle to match and overcome the obstacles and natural hazards in Far: Lone Sails. As you continue this journey and get further along you will come across buildings and relics that provide information concerning the people or civilisation that the players are currently tracking. So basically creating a sense of progress and reward.

Far: Lone Sails

Now Far: Lone Sails is taking a different direction from everyone else. The scenery and surroundings look perfect for certain dried monsters to rise up and attack but this will not be the case here. Far: Lone Sails will have no monsters, no zombies, no rebels etc. Instead it’s just the player, their vehicle and probably the weather or ocean or whatever you want to call it. We at X35 Earthwalker appreciate this direction the developer are taking but so far we haven’t heard anything that gets us interested. We don’t need monsters and blood but so far nothing has caught us.

Vehicle maintenance is key here. You will have to put out any fires, repair any damages received.  and operate the whole thing yourself like raising and lowering sails, adjusting vehicle settings and more. The whole game looks very nice too. the details to the vehicle are excellent. You can see everything. Very cool. The background and visuals have a very nice art style. Giving some clouds that smoky effect. There is no doubt that a lot of work and effort went into Far: Lone Sails.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s a bit more than what we thought at the start but not that much more. You re a little person with a big vehicle which you control. Going from left to right. Slow movement, stopping to make adjustments and then moving on. Yes you can leave the vehicle to do stuff but your main key is the vehicle, never forget that. Again we have not been grabbed by this game. Is it interesting… yes. Is it exciting… no.

Overall Far: Lone Sails is a good game. It’s good when you look at it for what it is. No it doesn’t compare to Gears of war, Outland or Super Mario. It’s a totally different game and must be seen that way. We conclude that it is good. Only some gamers will like this type. The graphics and music are very good. The developers ‘Okomotive’ did a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker aren’t looking forward to this game but we know others are. No matter how much you upgrade a vehicle it can’t keep up with… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Unholy Heroes

Unruly Heroes is a new 2D action adventure game developed by ‘Magic Design Studios‘. It’s coming out later this quarter of the year on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC. This game has quite the story to tell. Let’s take a look.

Let’s start from the very beginning. Unruly Heroes was inspired by a famous Chinese legend which we are sure many have heard of. It’s called ‘A journey to the West’. The Monkey king legend. So straight away there are some expectations in terms of the story, it’s depth, music and messages for the gamers. Already we at X35 Earthwalker are interested.

The developers claim that Unruly Heroes will be an epic adventure and that it will be an unforgettable experience. We can see this being true. The concept behind the game and inspiration should make that easier to accomplish. There are four characters and straight away the creativity is shown. there is a human who seems to be spiritual based and is surrounded by light, maybe to symbolise a moral or holy nature. The next is a fat pig (KiHong) who appears to laugh a lot, suggesting that he’s the most laid back and relaxed one. The next is a large blue monster but humanoid, having knowledge and uses martial arts. The last is a monkey (WuKong) who has a staff and looks a bit too cool to be a regular staff wielding monkey.

Unruly Heroes

Not much information is given concerning game but we have checked out some gameplay and it reminds us of ‘Rayman Origins‘. The gameplay looks awesome. Dash, run, jump, and off course lots of combat. Their are bosses to defeat and each of the four characters have different fighting styles. KiHong is very agile and relies a lot on strength tactics as well. The monkey is heavily reliant on his weapon which can change size and he can even turn into a bird. The large blue monster is martial arts hand to hand combat heavy with mighty strikes. The human who acts too graceful has  mystical powers and uses light to strike enemies whether in balls of light or worse. So yep it’s quite clear who our favourite character is already.

From what we have already seen Unruly heroes looks awesome. KiHong has some awesome looking aerial moves and serious combos. There is a giant monster who looks like it’s going to become a problem. This game off course supports four player co-op which sounds awesome by the way. There is also a PvP mode which sounds even cooler. Hopefully none of the characters are OP. The bosses seem to have their own characteristics and styles which we certainly appreciate. The graphics and style are excellent indeed. Hand drawn art work and it looks amazing so far. Maybe if we saw more it might make our top 5 list.

Overall Unruly Heroes looks awesome. The concept is there, the graphics are amazing and the music is what we wanted. When you hear it, you think of Chinese legends which is what it should have. The developers ‘Magic Games Studios’ did an awesome job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to Unruly Heroes and what this game has to offer. Now the Unruly Heroes may been skilled fighters but even them combined aren’t a match for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Slime-san

Slime-san is an action adventure game developed by ‘Fabraz‘. It’s already out on PC and Nintendo Switch but coming out in March on the Xbox One and PS4. This game has been compared toSuper meat boy. Let’s take a look.

In the world of Slime-san players control a little slime called… Slime-san, who was just enjoying himself, minding his own business but gets swallowed by a giant worm. Now it isn’t safe in there because the worm’s stomach acid will digest the player so the aim is to escape by sliming your way through the worms body and back out through the point of entry… the mouth. Sounds not serious, fun and simple which is good for games like this.

So the main challenge of this game is to move fast. This is because the wall of stomach acid is constantly chasing you. So all that hopping, jumping, and sliming around need sot be done with precision, timing and little mistakes to survive and progress through the worm. Now Slime-san isn’t some simple, he has some tricks. Fr example he can break through certain weaker obstacles with a dash move. Since he’s a slime he can go through cracks and certain surfaces too.

Slime-san

The worm has swallowed quite a number of things. There is a town filled with survivors. They are described as colourful characters. In the town is where players can do their shopping for things that will help Slime-san out. We have many questions regarding this town. Like what part of the worm is this town located? Like with other towns in games this one has secrets. So be the kind of player who likes to explore.

Now Slime-san is loaded. For starters their are 100 levels! The new game plus mode brings in an additional 100 more level. So 200 levels in total! There are secrets, collectibles and stuff to unlock. There are partially digested apples for players to collect to unlock mini game, shades and outfits. You can even unlock competitive multiplayer arcade games which his really cool when you think about it. There are three game modes to unlock: Speed running, New game+ and Boss rush mode. The names are self explanatory.

We checked out some gameplay and we can say this game looks cool. There is quite a number of mechanics in this game. Walls that you can pass or become solid platform, bouncing on the walls, moving platforms, avoiding the red surfaces, items that grant abilities or new actions. There is a lot going on here. Definitely can see why some compare this to Super meat boy. It’s fast and will be difficult to many gamers.

Overall Slime-san seems like a really good game. The graphics are pixel style and work very well here. lots of work went into the music as over ten composers, like “Adhesive Wombat”, “Ties”, “MegaNeko” and more contributed to make over 20 songs. That’s team work for ya. The action is fast pace and there is loads of content. The developers ‘Fabraz’ did a nice job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker want to see how well Slime-san does on the consoles. Slime-san may be moving fast but not fast enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Outcast: Second Contact

Outcast: Second Contact is a action adventure open world game developed by ‘Appeal’. It’s coming out the 14th of November for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Outcast: Second Contact is a complete remake of the original1999 Outcast game. That’s 18 years. Let’s take a look.

In Outcast: second contact, players control Cutter Slade who is an former special forces operative who was sent on a mission to the planet Adelpha which is the home of an ancient and advanced alien civilisation. Cutter Slade went with a group of scientists but not everything went according to plan. The game has quite a bit of emphasis on how your choices and actions will determine the fate of the two worlds.

Outcast: Second Contact has superior graphics and reworked controls. Basically they are improving the game in every way possible and straight up we can confirm that the game looks real good. As players go about trying to prevent a terrible catastrophe, they will notice some new things… things that even the players of the 1999 original will be surprised by. So expect a lot of new things coming your way which is how it’s suppose to be; because having just an improved graphics game is great but at least add some new stuff.

In this strange parallel world, magic and science mixes together at times, which means players can expect some strange stuff that you would only see in fantasy worlds. Outcast: second Contact have some cool and advanced exotic cities to discover and explore. An alien planet means alien enemies with are normally fierce enemies. expect everything from lush jungle ares to lava rocky places to frozen, snowy looking lands. in total there are 6 different continents.

New moves for Cutter Slade which players need to master like: sprint, a cover system, dodges and rolls. Go absolutely anywhere from the start, meaning complete freedom. The weapons you have are nor normal at all but think about your situation and use the right high tech gadgets and evolving weapons for success.

We checked out some gameplay and it looks like the game is going for the same feel that the original has but obviously improved. It doesn’t look as impressive to us as others will say it is. It’s clear that a good amount of work went into this but we can tell they could have done more but are trying to still keep it classic.

Overall Outcast: second Contact looks like a trip down memory lane for the original fans but a new adventure for newer gamers. This game has everything from the original but some extras. The graphics are good but the music and sounds are better. The world design and environments are definitely very good indeed. It’s what you would typically expect from a remake. The developers ‘Appeal’ did a very good job with this game. Outcast: Second Contact might be worth checking out. Now this game might be a remake but you can never remake… the ‘Earth Walk!’

AER Memories of Old

AER Memories of Old is a new adventure game developed by ‘Forgotten Key’. It’s coming out the 25th of October for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. AER Memories of Old looks like another one of those that has high emphasis on relaxing, taking it easy and checking out the environment and view. Let’s take a look.

In AER players control a girl who somehow has the ability to transform into a bird. why? Well she is a shapeshifter. As a bird she does exactly what you’d expect. She can fly and soar through the air gracefully and quite fast. This is important as exploration is the main word for this AER. Explore and check out the floating islands. This world is filled with secrets which players must discover and unlock to progress through the story. The story in AER Memories of Old is about the end of the world.

The gods in AER are forgotten somehow because they got lost in certain events that shattered the world. Or maybe the memories of gods got lost in the events. Either way it’s strange. The events also what caused the world to be as it is right now, with fragments of islands left in the sky. Thanks to being able to turn into a bird she can reach these islands and explore them for herself. Come to think of it, if she is a shape shifter what’s the limits of her abilities? can she only be a bird? Do shape shifters only get one form? Why not change into a dragon? Questions maybe the game will answer.

AER is said to have endless skies so fly for as long and as much as you like. There are also ancient runes to be explored as well but everything in this world is in danger and it’s up to the player to save this world, to save reality. Since this is an open world game there is going to be lots to do and the size of the game proves this.

We checked out some gameplay and it is exactly what we thought it would be which is good. There is a lot of flying and enjoying the skies. then coming to an island to look around. you may find a cave or similar entrance. There are some others things in AER as well. Nomads and even large creatures. A trailer revealed a large black creature with glowing lines on it’s body. It looked really cool by the way. There are artifacts to find and a big story to unfold.

Overall AER Memories of Old does it well. There are strong relaxing, taking it easy mechanics in the game with a heavier story. The emphasis on exploration could be a problem here. Hopefully there won’t be too much repetition. We do believe the world of AER needs more life in it for more excitement but let’s see. The graphics is minimalistic art style and look real good. The sounds and music are also very good. The environments and designs are really cool. The developers ‘Forgotten Keys’ did a great job with this game. This game might be worth checking out. Now in AER Memories of Old, the gods are forgotten but we can never forget is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Bulb Boy is a 2D point and click horror adventure developed by ‘Bulbware’. It’s coming to Xbox One 6th of October but already out on PC and Nintendo Switch. This game looks creepy but we hear it’s quite unique. Let’s take a look.

Players control Bulb boy who lives in the bulbhouse (get it?). One night though, Bulb boy suddenly wakes up from a terrible nightmare to learn that terrifying monsters are around and that his family has disappeared. What’s a bulb to do? He has to use his “glass head” to save the day.

Point and click games always have puzzles. They have to, otherwise there really can’t be much to the gameplay. So there will be puzzles. The horrifying monsters are there and will put up a fight, so defeat them you must. Also, what’s a point and click game without some secrets. Yeah, so go find them.

Bulb boy has a big task ahead of, good thing he has abilities. He can withstand electricity and even unscrew his head to accomplish certain things. Bulb boy also isn’t the only playable character. That’s right, you can play as other family members and relive Bulb boys childhood memories.

We checked out some gameplay and the game works well with the whole bulb head mechanic. For example we saw bulb boy screw of his head and place it on a knights armour and then he used the weapon in the armours hand to slice a monster. He attached his head to a chandelier for greater light. The monsters are definitely creepy and the horror is done quite well, we would say.

Overall, Bulb Boy is a unique game but we don’t believe it’s our type of game. Not a big fan of the style and it doesn’t seem interesting enough but then again this could be just the thing for other gamers, so we do encourage that you do your own little research on the game. The graphics are good and the sounds are nice too. The developers ‘Bulbware’ did a good job with this game. Bulb boy might be worth checking out. Bulb boy must use his inner light but one thing always lights things up… the ‘Earth Walk!’

We really like Destiny 2. It is a great game and if you read our last gaming blog post on Destiny 2, you will see why. So is it good? Yes off course; however out does have it’s issues. Let’s take a look.

Destiny 2 definitely has a better story but not by much. We mean there is a in game story this time but it wasn’t done very well. We get introduced to a cool new enemy called Ghaul but we don’t get to know much. Sure he explains that he started from the bottom as an outcast and is now a boss but that’s all really. We were hoping for more scenes of Ghaul. Maybe more of his presence and sightings of him in the game. We haven’t finished the story but we believe we are on the last mission though. As it stands right now. It’s just that the guardians get attacked by Ghaul and his army, then Ghaul never does anything, ever again. Which is lame when you think about it. Destiny 2 had opportunities to make many big things happen with this character.

The difficulty of this game is too low. X35 Earthwalker himself went for all the adventures and handled lots of side quests, not grinding or anything but just completing them. When he reached the adventures that recommend that players have at least a light level of 90, he was already well over that level. Matter of fact for some he was already over 200. All the enemies died so easily and nothing phased him. Sure he had low health and at some points but that’s when he dives into the centre of armies and is too busy pimp slapping everyone around. Otherwise it’s never a problem. They should have added difficulties to Destiny 2 giving the players the option as to how hard they want the game too be. As it stands, toooooo easy. Still fun though.

The Strikes need more variety. We feel like there is only 3 or 4 raids in the game. Maybe there’s more but we haven’t seen anymore. With all their money, team and technology we hoped that they would create lots of strikes that have a variety of locations with many different boss enemies. The amount of consumables you get , specifically the tokens on each of the different worlds is too little. Sure you get 3 for finding the region chests but that’s about it. Unless it is a region chest you will always get one. One for completing public events, one for opening chests around, one for beating high profile enemies. Just one. Eventually you will find all the region chests and so getting these items to unlock rewards takes longer than it should do. The worst is the crucible tokens. You only get one per match and Lord Shaxx requires many tokens to unlock the rewards, meaning the game wants you to spend lots of time in matches. Not everyone wants to do that.

The negative point about Destiny 2 that many players have grumbled and complained about is the shaders. More accurately it’s the fact that shaders are now one time use. This is really bad now that we have gotten further in the game. Shaders basically paints your armour pieces and weapons a certain colour design, giving some weird to awesome looking armour. Now there are four armour pieces: head, chest, boots and arms. Plus 1 or 2 more if you count your weapons. Now we used a certain shader on our gun and man does that gun look so amazing now. We wouldn’t sell it to anyone. We used one shader on our arms and that shader looks real cool. We want our whole armour to look like this but we only got 2 left but 3 more armour pieces. The shaders are one time use which is bad because in Destiny 2 most players are dismantling their armour for better gear almost every 10 mins. Destiny now wants us to buy shaders and stuff with real money, as if we didn’t spend enough to get the standard version of the game already.

Overall Destiny is still a good game but it’s just stuff like this which turns Destiny 2 from a excellent game to a great game. This off course isn’t everything but these stuff we point out, are very easy for the developers to correct and improve on but will they do it? So Destiny 2 is still a game worth playing but prepare to encounter some annoying stuff. There is one thing we know that is never annoying… the ‘Earth Walk!’
