There are many games out there today. Some are good ranging from good to near perfect while others aren’t that great. Some are not good and hardly anyone knows they exist. There are however some games that are very good and even fantastic but got very little attention, not what they deserve. This is sad especially when you can clearly see all the hard work that goes into that game but see that not much gamers care. Well here is just some from us that ARE very good and deserve way more attention. Let’s take a look.

Now these games that we are going to talk about are all games X35 Earthwalker has played himself. So there’s loads of experience here. Each game we have had lots of fun with and we can confirm that there are very good. None of these are a waste of time. Each game is very different from the other and they are good for what they are. Matter of fact we have already written about the majority of these games on our website. So make sure to read them afterwards. Just wished people like gameplay content creators payed attention to other games like X35 Earthwalker instead of jumping on what’s new & hot or trending for those views. Lame.

First game is Celeste. This game is excellent… and very difficult. The story is simple on the surface and gets a little deep. You control a girl who made it her goal to climb this specific mountain, Celeste. She is very skilled and brave but has some serious struggles that can even get her killed. We won’t say more. It’s the hardest game of all the ones we are going to talk about. Celeste is all about serious platforming. The game seems very reasonable at the start but new mechanics get introduced and they really shake things up. The difficulty turns up real fast too. We are honest here at X35 Earthwalker so we won’t hide that you will have a tough time. Don’t worry about dying though as we all do in Celeste. Matter of fact some people have shared online that they died more than 3000 times trying to beat the game. Then there’s extra modes and levels which are even harder. A youtuber finally beat the insane challenge that was the c side levels which only the greatest players like X35 Earthwalker could beat. He had over 7000 deaths while X35 Earthwalker, off course being a superior gamer, only had 2764 deaths. From the characters, the story, the challenges and a number of hidden things, you get a real adventure out of this cutesy game. We even like the variety of areas in the game. You should definitely try this game and just don’t rage quit.

Next is Indivisible. This game is awesome for sure. A true definition of the word adventure. You follow Ajna who sets out to get revenge on the man who ordered the attack on her village, her people which lead to her father dying in combat. The adventure gets bigger from there though but we won’t say more. There’s loads of platforming and like Metroid there are many places you can’t access until you go somewhere else to find a power up or a new ability. You get a very cool map which is nicely detailed. You explore very different lands with different people of different culture too, meeting all kinds of characters and that’s one of our favourite things about Indivisible. The characters. There’s many of them allowing for huge options when it comes to compiling your team for combat. They have their own abilities. personality, story and powers. Our favourite parts his the characters interacting with each other, how they clash, joke and disagree. The scene where Thorani, Zebei, Baozhai, Dhar and Ajna tried the strong alcohol during their escape from the slime at the iron kingdom. That made us laugh and smile so hard. It was the best scene in the whole game. The combat is very unique. your team faces the other team like a turn based combat but except anyone can move at anytime but one at a time. It depends on who inputs their action first. Abilities recharge and you need to use the correct assigned button to a character for them to block an incoming attack. It’s complicated and messes with your brain at first but then you get use to it. Still angry at Ajna for what she did to Dhar but we won’t talk about it. The graphics and level designs with the environments are top level. You got to try this game. One of the best games of 2020 for sure.

Tetris Effect: Connected is an Xbox exclusive and also got unsurprisingly little attention. Why? Simple. It’s Tetris. Very few people care about Tetris. We don’t dare about Tetris either but Tetris Effect: Connected is awesome and way better than any Tetris game before it. This game is beautiful. Visually impressive with awesome particle effects. Each stage has it’s own theme, sound effects for moving the tetriminos (blocks) and some stages have music. This game is no joke though as it is difficult. Very difficult. Playing the campaign (journey mode) you face multiple series of levels with increasing difficulty overall. Some stages have parts where the blocks (tetriminos) come down at such fast speeds that will destroy you if you aren’t ready for it or can’t think that fast. There’s multiplayer where you can work with players against actual bosses. Competitive modes and even special modes with objectives to shake things up or challenge the player or just chill. The main thing about Tetris Effect: Connected is that it’s more relaxing than anything else unless you want the challenge. We have a whole review on this game so check that out to learn more. Sucks that others ignore it because it’s tetris. Don’t be one of those people it’s free to download and play on the Xbox game pass.

Next is Coffee Talk. This game is the most simple of what we are listing here. You are a barista who runs a coffee shop called ‘Coffee Talk’. People come in and talk with you and you just serve them the drinks they want. It’s that simple. We hear you right now, “X35 Earthwalker this game sounds boring.” It isn’t though. It’s all about the characters. They have their own stories and problems going on. You hear them out or listen to them talk to others. It reminds you of real life easily. There problems are real even though they are creatures like werewolves, elves, succubus, orcs, vampires etc. It’s fictional creatures with non-fictional problems and stories. A character is taking a huge gamble with her career to fulfil a dream which could cost her everything. Another character Bailey (the man himself) wants to continue his relationship with a woman he loves but they are completely different races like elf and succubus. One being more holy creatures while the other are demons. Another is family problems etc. it also feels more relatable that this game came out in 2020 and is set in 2020 from September. X35 Earthwalker played it in September too. There was even a news article that was about a virus. How relatable. This game comes from paying attention and enjoying the stories and off course getting creative with the drinks like doing latte art and even combining certain ingredients together to discover completely different drinks and recipes. This game sounds lame to many but it’s actually very good. We actually cared about the characters and wanted things to work out for them. Give this game a try. We have videos on this game too.

Next is Earth Defence Force 2025. This game is truly special. We never heard of this game series before as there are a lot of Earth Defence Force games. You are part of the EDF… Earth Defence Force… duh, pay attention, that was obvious. Giant insects are here and boy are they a problem. This is the first time in a game where the enemies felt like they are actually taking over the earth as an unstoppable force. The giant ants rush you, throw acid and attack in swarms. This game keep every toned down though as you may face 100 ants in a level but in reality there are millions of ants. Off course this game wouldn’t be able to manage millions of ants. It’s not just ants but orb web spiders, jumping spiders, red ants (stronger ants) and even hornets! 4 different character classes: Ranger, wing diver, Fencer and Air Raider. Each have their own clear strengths and weaknesses but it’s clear what class is overall better than what. Balancing isn’t the best here. This game is pure action adrenaline. It’s pure fighting, blasting bugs, saving tea mates and getting eaten alive. Bug holes come up from the ground and many insects come through to attack. You can even get huge explosive weapons and completely destroy the environment and buildings… with the greatest of ease. At times this game can get scary when you are rushed down and cornered. You can even play this with others too. X35 Earthwalker and Diamondz L45 have good memories of facing hordes of bugs all trying to eat and destroy them. It’s just straight up mad action. Huge grenade launchers, powerful over the top snipers and dual wielding giant chain machine guns (for the Fencer class though) but nothing is over the top when dealing with GIANT INSECTS! Probably the most fun game on this list. Lastly this game is very big. We still haven’t finished the campaign. So many other games we are playing too and it’s really long. At least you can’t say you didn’t get your monies worth.

Streets of Rage 4. The greatest beat up game of all time right now. This game is explosive and does what the previous game does and better for the most part. This game has good bosses, cutscenes, new enemies to the series, awesome special attacks, combo potential, largest campaign yet and best of all full 4 player multiplayer. The multiplayer is online as well. The graphics are excellent, the campaign is action packed, the difficulty settings are fair (except for Mania mode) and the music is top notch. The music for this game might just be the best in gaming for the type of music it is. Like seriously, listen to the music in stage 2, the precinct. Tell us you aren’t dancing. Exactly. Story wise it’s the same arcade style and simple problem like the previous Streets of Rage. Mr X isn’t around anymore but his children… the Y twins are in charge now and they are ruling the streets. It’s up to the squad to take them down. Simple story right. Well that’s how Streets of Rage has always been. nothing deep but the meat was the combat and levels. This game is tons of fun and Mania mode is described correctly that it is not even remotely fair. It isn’t. You will lose. This game was nominated for a game reward but due to the rewards being overall rigged, Streets of Rage 4 didn’t get the respect it deserved.

Outland is the biggest crime of them all though. It’s the oldest of the games on this list and we feel this game has been ignored the most. This game is fantastic. The amount of work that went into it was real. We always used this game as an example when it comes to character animations. Outland is the pinnacle of gaming animations for a character. Just watch how the character runs, jumps, turns, sprints, attacks and more. Look at the movement of the enemies too. The only game that we put in the same lease as Outland when it comes to animation is Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Out land is about a guy who has dreams that trouble him. He heads of to a jungle place where he mets a shaman (we think) who tells him stories and some answers. Basically he is destined to do what the man 2000 years ago did (something like 2000). Wielding the power of light and darkness. Neither is evil but both serve a good purpose. This concept of light and darkness leads to tricky and complex gameplay, fighting and platforming. This game is unique. The concept, the combat, the voice acting, the graphics, the back ground and environments are all top level. Facing the bosses is the best though as you face large powerful beings welding real power in their own ways. On top of that you have some seriously epic boss music with a cool style, not straight up heavy beats for dancing. Outland is amazing and we still jump back into it to see what’s happening. This is a fantastic game.

So there you go. That’s 7 games that are seriously ignored and not getting the attention they deserve. They are fantastic games. All have been good fun and we jump back in to play when we feel like it, even with all these new games out and stuff. So most of these games are either really cheap or available for free on Xbox Game Pass so feel free to try these games out. Games like Tetris Effect: Connected and Coffee Talk aren’t for every gamer but we do believe you will have a good time with all of these games.

As a bonus probably the most ignored game right now is Maze Time. This 2D action Maze game was developed by X35 Earthwalker himself. There’s over 20 levels, 10 different types of enemies, some traps and bonus levels. It’s an old school action game classic style. Pixel graphics and simple controls with simple instructions. Get all the gems to open the door to the exit, then head through the exit to get to the next level. It’s very challenging and has some secrets too like hidden special levels. It’s only like £2, $2. It’s available on both PC and Android devices. You can get it from this website or the google play store. This game is a lot of fun but very challenging.

Tetris Effect: Connected is described as a tile matching puzzle game. Simply put… it’s Tetris. You know what it is. This game is fantastic! Sure it’s Tetris, but it’e not Tetris and we will get into that later. We are so glad we played this game and it surprised us severely. Don’t let the fact that it’s a tetris game throw you off. Let’s take a look.

Let’s get this out of the way. We don’t like Tetris. We don’t care about Tetris. We never cared about Tetris. Never owned a Tetris game. We care about Tetris Effect: Connected though. Like for real, Tetris is boring… but Tetris Effect: Connected isn’t. We have spent lots of time in Tetris Effect: Connected and had lots of fun in this game. It’s the best Tetris game by far. Do not underestimate this game. We have seen gamers who never cared about Tetris now enjoying Tetris Effect: Connected. That speaks for itself. By the way Tetris Effect: Connected is currently an Xbox exclusive. Best experienced on Xbox Series X though.

The main mode which is the campaign called ‘Journey Mode’. Here you go through a series of levels where you play Tetris but the main goal is to clear lines. There are three difficulties really as the fourth is practice mode which doesn’t even include all the levels, has no game over and is the slowest speed. In Normal difficulty you must clear 36 lines, beginner is 30 while hard is 48. Also the higher difficulties are overall have faster Tetriminos (the falling blocks) falling speed. For example the first level ‘The Deep’ ca rise up to a fall speed of 3 while in Hard it goes up to 8. The problem we have with Tetris Effect: Connected is that the jump from normal to hard is too big but if you reach the later levels in normal difficulty you would be use to higher speeds than the early hard mode levels anyway but still…. too big of a gap.

The levels in the journey mode are beautiful and vary heavily from each other. You have sea level types but they vary for example ‘The Deep’ has manta rays but concludes with a massive whale. This level is one of the best ways to start of the game. It’s a beautiful display and you see the movement around as you progress through the Level. Mermaid cove has mermaids. Turtle dreams has turtles. There’s also Jelly fish Cgorus and Dolphin Surf which has a immensely bright moment in the level where you come to the surface with the dolphins. Epic stuff. Some levels come with a song with lyrics while others is just music but for the most part the music is very good and we like the songs. The song in balloon high is the best though. It’s relaxing or gets you hyped with the action, making things intense. The big boss level is metamorphosis which has 90 lines to clear on Normal difficulty. It’s a huge battle where the Tetriminos will fall at high speeds which are impossible to work with if you are new to the game. More on that later. Journey mode is awesome, very challenging and you’ll spend good time here training.

The next big mode is off course Multiplayer which what makes Tetris Effect: Connected a different game from Tetris Effect. Some idiot online wanted to spend his day arguing with X35 Earthwalker about that. What a loser. Hopefully he gets a life. Multiplayer is where the action is at after training through Journey mode. Here you can find all the true new stuff. We do recommend players go through the tutorial for helpful tips as there are tricks and certain aspects of the modes you need to be aware of in order to do good. Once you enter multiplayer you see a massive pyramid but at it’s base is the top reflected to make a full shape. Just imagine a pyramid on top of a pyramid but connected at the base. It’s in the center of this galaxy and players names are floating around this massive structure and in the Milky Way looking galaxy. You can select your guardian avatar which is the different images and shapes you unlock through playing all through Tetris Effect Connected. For example if you level up you can unlock the Moon, Nabla and Sun through playing online matches and you get a bonus if you win off course. You can unlock others through playing specific modes or a certain number of matches etc. They are cool and the one you select becomes like your symbol. Cosmetic stuff. There’s 84 in total. There’s orbit mode which allows the player to fly around the galaxy and view players avatars, their names and see the pyramid from different angles. There are three types of multiplayer: Ranked, Friend and Local. Ranked is for points and against random Tetris Effect: Connected players around the world. Friend is a private match where you can invite friends. Local is local couch play. Bring a friend over, family or beat your spouse at Tetris and damage your marriage.

The multiplayer modes are: Connected, zone battle, Score attack and Classic score attack. Classic score attack is where you face an opponent 1v1 to see who gets the highest score. Old school classic Tetris. Score attack is the same but it’s all modern Tetris though. Now here’s the good stuff. zone battle is about crushing your foe. Not score. It’s whoever loses first. First to two. Cause your opponent’s side to fill up to the top. As you clear lines in fancy ways you send trash to your opponents side which builds up forcing them higher to the top of their screen. So clearing doubles, triples, quads, clearing in combos, T-spin or whatever it is called all contributes. Single line clears don’t contribute at all. Your best tool is the zone mechanic. This mechanic is new to Tetris Effect: Connected (It was also in the inferior Tetris Effect). Basically you stop time and have limited time to clear lines and each cleared line goes straight to the bottom of your screen. Can save your life but the best way to score points. This zone if done right can completely destroy your opponents one shot. There’s ways to win but you need to know what you should and shouldn’t be doing. More experienced players than X35 Earthwalker has lost to him because X35 knew what to do while they didn’t.

The last mode is Connected and this is truly awesome. You and two others face actual bosses who are playing Tetris just like you. It’s 3v1. The bosses are the stupid zodiac signs. They are in groups of three and you face each one one right after the other. For example on normal difficulty you face: cancer, libra and scorpio. Each boss has their own abilities which are designed to mess up the players. For example they might make your next two falling blocks super large taking up so much space. Cause your Tetriminos to fall extremely fast. Rise up your screen, drop in explosive blocks, rotate your field etc. Some abilities are more dangerous than others clearly. The three need to keep clearing lines like in zone battle to contribute to the meter. When it’s filled all three of your fields combine into one big one and you need to create as many lines as possible. The more you do the stronger your combined attack against the boss to force them to the top of the screen. Once defeated the next comes after a quick statistics break. There’s more after hard difficulty. They won’t go down easy.

Lastly is Effect mode where you can try out what looks like community made challenges. They are set though and mx things up. Some have conditions, others are about scoring in a time limit. It’s different from journey and multiplayer and brings in some adventurous stuff. There’s even one where you have to clear 40 lines as fast as possible. Simply put there’s lots to do here. Another thing we wanted to talk about tis that Tetris Effect: Connected trains you. It actually forces you to think faster and be faster. When you first start playing Journey mode you really struggle when the speed reaches 4. Higher speeds like 6 becomes too much and you complain at how fast it is.As you play a bit more and get use to the shapes you find yourself naturally able to handle speed 6 and up to 8. When you first encounter a level with a ruthless speed of 10 you get shocked and fail, again complaining that it’s too fast, which it is. Then over time you find yourself easily handling speed 10. We can now do speed 14 and 16 if we have enough space and actually plan and decide where that piece should go within the practically ‘no time’ that we have to think. This game forces you to be fast. You stop complaining ad say bring it on. You take on those speeds and find yourself handling it. We got faster and better. Since X35 Earthwalker is the best, smartest and wisest gamer of all time he grew in skill way faster than other players and these speeds are very doable for him. Off course we aren’t dedicating our lives to be the Tetris pro players as we have a bigger life and much more going on but for how much we do p[lay it, we are easily masters who are getting better.

There isn’t really a negative to Tetris Effect: Connected except for the big gap in difficulty between Normal and hard. Other from that, there’s no problems. It’s Tetris and stays as Tetris. Thus game has lots to do. If you want to get serious you can with effect mode. If you want a challenge you can do journey mode on normal difficulty and higher. If you want to get competitive with others you can with multiplayer like zone battle. If you want to relax there’s relaxed modes in effect mode and there’s theatre mode where you can just watch the stages you play in journey mode, control the transition and listen to the music. Literally use Tetris Effect: Connected as your music player. Talk about a versatile game. Unpopular opinion and PlayStation fanboys get mad when wee say this but Tetris Effect: Connected is a better game than Demon’s souls remastered and spider man: Miles Morales. We aren’t joking. If you judged them for what they are, Tetris Effect: Connected is a better game. Don’t make the mistakes simple minded people make by assuming that this games boring because it’s Tetris and there’s no guns, giant axes, huge monsters and death. This game is fantastic. Very hard and unforgiving but fantastic.

Overall Tetris Effect: Connected is an awesome game. One of the best games of 2020 easily and worth playing even now. The graphics are amazing, the particle effects are the second best we have ever seen so far. It would all look better on an Xbox Series X (we currently don’t have the next gen console). So many colours, great music with variety, excellent effects, multiple game modes, boss battles which ascends Tetris as something complete new. There’s local play up to three players. Tetris Effect: Connected is a multiplayer game with many things available. We are glad we gave this game a chance. We would give Tetris Effect: Connected a 10/10. A perfect game. There’s isn’t really anything bad about it except one level where the fireworks effect you get as you do a big move, it causes a lag that does mess you up but that’s the only real negative. Everything else is great. It’s available on the Xbox game pass so you can even get this game for free and play the whole thing. There isn’t much to say as it’s Tetris at the end of the day. It’s kind of hard to mess up Tetris. Now Tetris Effect: Connected may be considered a perfect game but it’s filled with flaws when compared too… the ‘Earth Walk!’

More information

Tetris Effect Connected is a new arcade puzzle game developed by ‘Monstars Inc.’, ‘Resonair’, ‘Stage Games’ and published by ‘Enhance‘. Tetris Effect: Connected is said to be coming out 2020 on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. It’s Tetris, that alone should tell you what this is all about. Let’s take a look.

Tetris Effect: Connected is Tetris at the end of the day which means you got to place falling blocks of different shapes and patterns in places to fill up rows to get rid of them and score the big points. If you don’t know what Tetris is then you should be ashamed of yourself for the most part. We never cared about Tetris but we knew what it was. Now Tetris Effect: Connected is like Pac-Man Championship Edition 2… a bigger, better game with the same foundation formula but with new features, mechanics, more colours and more flashiness.

The Single player has been upgraded and levelled up. There are all new modes like ‘Zone Battle’ which has “time-stopping Zone mechanic” which can be the thing that helps bring someone from behind in the game or maybe in front. This shakes up the 1v1 battles. New features and mechanics means new tactics and new things to taken into account. There’s said to be over 10 modes in Tetris Effect: Connected so expect lots of things to do in this game. This isn’t the main thing nor what we care about that much.

What we really care about is the multiplayer as that’s the biggest upgrade in our opinion. The multiplayer has what’s called connected mode. This where up to three players can actually connect their playing fields together and play as a team. This team must do their best to defeat CPU bosses. A whole series of them and they keep getting harder and harder. So working together and doing your best is the solution. We don’t know if there is a difficulty adjustment for the number of players working together or not.

Tetris Effect: Connected has the green badge of Xbox Series X approval. You know what this means. “Games built using the Xbox Series X development kit are designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the Xbox Series X. They will showcase unparalleled load-times, visuals, responsiveness, and frame rates up to 120 FPS.” So expect 120 frames per second of Tetris Effect: Connected goodness.

We checked out some Tetris Effect: Connected gameplay and it’w what we thought it would be just more flashy. There over 30 different stages to play on, more than 10 modes. The effects don’t make things hard to see. It’s Tetris at the end of the day, so don’t expect any sticky plasma grenades. Our favourite thing is clearly facing the CPU bosses like that scorpion. Tetrtic Effect: Connected will have both cooperative and competitive gameplay which will be both local (old for that) and online. There’s options.

Overall Tetris Effect: Connected is looking like an excellent game so far. Tetris Effect was good but this new game is even better. It has all the previous great stuff plus more. The multiplayer is definitely going to be the best feature of this game and we like the flashiness and work that’s gone into this game. The developers ‘Monstars Inc.’, ‘Resonair’, ‘Stage Games’ have done an excellent job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what else Tetris Effect: Connected has up it’s sleeves. Now Tetris Effect: Connected may have a new flashy upgrade but it’s incredibly dull when compared too… the ‘Earth Walk!’
