Luna Abyss is a action adventure first person shooter game developed and published by ‘Kwalee Labs‘. Luna Abyss is said to be coming out the 21st of May 2026 on the Xbox Series X/S. Luna Abyss is also in ‘Xbox Game Pass‘ and is ‘Xbox Play Anywhere‘ which means ‘Xbox on PC’. Luna Abyss is also releasing on PS5. X35 Earthwalker noticed something real interesting about this game. Let’s take a look.
Luna Abyss has a rough story. Not rough as in bad but rough as in, this is some tough stuff. Players control Fawkes who is a prisoner. You have a punishingly high sentence. You won’t just sit there and serve. You are sent on a mission. To “explore a sprawling derelict megastructure that lies deep beneath the surface of Luna, the mimic moon.” Yeah, the usual stuff that happens in jail. On top of this, your every move is being monitored and watched by an artificial prison guard called Aylin. Things do get worse…
The derelict megastructures aren’t normal either. Expect loads of secrets. darkness and a whole lot of danger. Bullets? Loads of bullets. More like energy ball bullets but lots of them. Luna Abyss can also be described as a bullet hell game too. when you see the gameplay below you will understand. All this action, in first person. So those who enjoyed Doom: The Dark Ages and Immortals of Aver will totally get and understand this game. Also keep your ears open as there will be echoes or maybe voices that are calling to you… maybe.
We checked out some Luna Abyss gameplay and it’s what we expected. Lots of attacks, horrible monstrosities, big battles, and good amounts of mobility, including using the rails. This game is all about the action with some mystery going on. Now the question of difficulty is there. Seems like it would be a difficult game with settings that can help those of less skill. When watching this game, we noticed that Luna Abyss reminded us of Saros. It will be Luna Abyss vs Saros. Which game will do it better? Some healthy competition right here. Do your best Luna Abyss.
Overall Luna Abyss looks like a great game so far. Graphics are good for this time but we wanted it to be better when it comes to the big monsters. The animations and flow are very good. The action is real and what we want from a game like this. We wonder how effective the story will be and how appealing fawns will be across the game. We want to like the character. The developers ‘Kwalee Labs’ have done a great job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye open for this game. Now Luna Abyss may have a lengthy prison sentence but it’s incredibly short in the eyes of… the ‘Earth Walk!’
