2026 gaming X35 Earthwalker

2026 has already been a real serious year for gaming… and we aren’t even halfway done yet. 2025 was epic for sure, especially with Xbox carrying the gaming industry. 2024 was also fully loaded with amazing games, most of which were Xbox games. We have had crazy game shows that were getting gamers excited for what’s to come… the most and best shows were the Xbox ones. 2026 isn’t playing around. Let’s take a look.

We are going to do a list of just some of the games from each of the months so far. Especially the ones that X35 Earthwalker himself has played, tested, wrote about or knew etc. Remember that this isn’t every game that has come out.

In January there was 2XKO, MIO: Memories in Orbit, Dynasty Warriors Origins, Highguard and Code vein 2. Yes, Highguard was an excellent game and if you want to know more about that then check out our content on it.

In February there was Relooted, My hero academia: all justice, High on life 2, Reanimal, Dropshot, Styx: Blades of Greed, Resident Evil Requiem. The variety is real. Horror with Reanimal, Creative humour and action with High on Life 2 and a big sequel with Resident Evil Requiem.

In March there was Scott Pilgrim EX, Marathon, Planet of Lana 2, Greedfall 2: The Dying World, Bravely Default, Starship Troopers Ultimate Bug War, Overthrown, Crimson Desert, Dragonkin the banished, Absolum, Super Meat Boy 3d. March truly had a lot to offer and Crimson Desert is massive.

In April there was Terran Armada Starfield, Power wash 2 adventure time, Replaced, Mouse P.I. For Hire, Pragmata, Starward, Vampire Crawlers, Kiln, Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, Aphelion, Invincible Vs, The Coma 3 Bloodlines, Terratech Legion. The largest game Starfield got even bigger. The same can be said for Diablo IV.

We are currently in May and received Motorslice, Mixtape, Directive 8020, Call of the Elder gods, Skull and Bones: Year 3 – Sails of Power, Subnautica 2, Forza Horizon 6, Civilization 7 – Test of Time, R-Type Dimensions 3, Coffee Talk Tokyo, Luna Abyss and Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Forza Horizon 6 is dominating the shows for sure as the best racing game of all time.

Things will get bigger in June as that’s when the best gaming show of the year will happen. The Xbox Game showcase which also has a big focus on Gears of War: E-Day. Everyone, including all the pathetic Xbox haters, are going to tune in to that and even livestream react to it. There will also be another playstation state of play too. Hopefully it’s better than the previous ones.

Now remember that X35 Earthwalker did the best Xbox 2026 game line up on this same website. The link to it is at the bottom of this G-blog labelled “More information”. There’s some real amazing games coming up including some that will be exclusive to Xbox. Now 2026 is loaded with many games and more to come but it’s never enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Aniimo. Metropolis sky city. X35 Earthwalker

Aniimo is a creature catcher adventure game developed and published by ‘Pawprint Studio‘. Aniimo is said to be coming out late 2026 on the Xbox Series X/S and PC. In the future Aniimo will be on the Xbox Helix. Another Xbox exclusive. The date 31st of December has been thrown around but the plans can change. X35 Earthwalker is definitely hyped for this game and awaits its arrival. Aniimo is definitely looking different from everything else. Let’s take a look.

Aniimo is another creature catcher game. A next generation action role playing game (ARPG). We can clearly see that. the action in Aniimo takes place on a continent called Idyll. This place is large and described as “expansive”. Expect loads of areas to explore, traverse and get busy in. Idyll has puzzles, battles, characters and creatures. Players will need to get exploring and see for themselves. Have their own adventure.

Aniimo. Player fights aniimo with aniimo X35 Earthwalker

Just by looking at Aniimo you can tell it was next gen. Simply by how good the game looks. The looks, designs and details easily puts Aniimo above pokemon and even Palworld. Aniimo is doing its own thing and standing out. The main stars are the Aniimo themselves and they look awesome. Look at Scorchhowl. This thing looks cool, strong and fast. It then has multiple forms. Normal, prismana and thunderstorm. Thunderstorm adds an additional type to Scrochhowl making it fire and lightning. Then you got cute little guys like Nimbi who’s basically a fluffy sheep. If it puffs up to the max, it can actually float into the air and look like a cloud. The ultimate sheep! Nimbi is a wind type but in the rainstorm form it becomes wind and lighting. So cool.

Aniimo. Unique and cool aniimo. X35 Earthwalker

A unique feature of Aniimo is that you can “twine” with your Aniimo. So basically you become the Aniimo and experience things through their eyes/senses. This is very cool and easily reminds us of another game that has something similar. Cassette Beasts. In Cassette Beasts you literally become the creature you recorded. So this is familiar to X35 Earthwalker but Aniimo has the 3D world so this will be a different experience. The combat isn’t turn based but real time like Palworld. Meaning the players knowledge of the Aniimo, decisions and reflexes do matter a lot. Maybe even the use of the environment. So much to think about.

Aniimo. Many cool Aniimos. X35 Earthwalker

We will say this now as we have said on the X35 Earthwalker podcast channel. Animo will be a Xbox exclusive as it will be on Xbox and PC. Hopefully they stay that way. The biggest mistake that Palword made was going to playstation. the moment they went to playstation all momentum they had just disappeared. they stopped even celebrating their numbers as the growth from playstation was basically zero. If Aniimo does wonderfully well on xbox, which it will, then it needs to think carefully before deciding to be multiplatform.

There’s so far a good level of diversity in the environments. ‘Sea of flowers’ is like the fantasy lovely flowery hills where you are suppose to skip, run and jump. Peaceful looking. ‘Echoback Landing’ is coastal area with pink barrier reef like designs and there’s even a giant remains of a massive creature. Forest of Falling stars is a forest… what did you expect? Hollowed out logs to climb through. Blitzwood, Nimbus fields and Mistwood. Get to it.

Aniimo. New egg with pals and players. X35 Earthwalker

We checked out some Aniimo gameplay and it’s what we expected. The combat is fast paced and real time. Like Palworld you can get involved in the combat also, truly making it a team work. Some Aniimos can evolve and obvious become better, stronger etc. If you spend time and train your Aniimo you can actually stories. So there’s more purpose to catch them all. There is a variety of biomes to visit and explore which also means different Aniimos. Find treasure, wade through streams and more. There’s even basically a city in the sky. Just have fun.

Overall Aniimo is looking like a fantastic game. Graphics are fantastic, animations are fantastic as well. The details like the fluffiness of Nimbi wool are top tier. The world is looking real interesting. There’s even an RV for players and they can use it to return to the homeland and decorate their abode. Make it unique to them. There’s a lot going on. The battles are quite epic and you know things will get more deep. Now, will there be any sexy or attractive creatures like Lovander? Or will the whole thing be friendly disney land type. The developers ‘Pawprint Studio’ have done a fantastic job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are definitely looking forward to this game. Playing it guaranteed. Now Aniimo may have the best looking creatures but they aren’t as good looking as… the ‘Earth Walk!’
