Xbox Developer Direct has been announced by Xbox themselves and it’s got the gaming world talking already. Well everyone is always talking about the leafing gaming platform Xbox but now this is the main topic. The Xbox Developer Direct will take place the 22nd of January 2026. Time is 6pm for UK and 1pm for the yanks (USA). Make sure to check the time in your own zones so you don’t miss the Xbox Developer Direct. X35 Earthwalker is more than re§any for this one.

Gamers have been speculating about what games will be shown. X35 Earthwalker had his educated guesses and let’s just say he was accurate as usual. We avoid spoilers and prefer to just find out on the day watching the show. What we will say though is that yes, Fable will be present. Fable is off course the massive new game that numerous fans have been waiting for. We talked a bit about the Xbox Developer Direct 2026 and of course we don’t have a business of spoiling things for others. It’s better to just see the show for yourself and be surprised. Playground Games is coming out swinging heavy. Remember how 2025 Obsidian was game developers of the year with 3 amazing games: Avowed, Grounded 2 and The Outer Worlds 2. Well maybe 2026 is the year of Playground Games as they already got 2 major games confirmed this year. Forza Horizon 6 and Fable. Both games will have gamers in there for hours and hours, no joke. Exciting times indeed. Amazing work Playground Games!

Now Game Freak will be at the Xbox Developer Direct and they have their own surprise going on. We want to make something clear though. A Xbox Developer Direct is not the same as a Xbox game showcase. They are very different with different goals. The Xbox Developer Direct is all about mainly the game devs themselves talking to the viewers, showing the work they have done, explaining a number of things like mechanics and ideas and what went into the game. Hence the name Developer Direct. Key word is developer. The main thing is information with game visuals of course. So prepare yourself for what’s to come. Xbox Developer Direct is looking to be amazing already. We at X35 Earthwalker are very excited for the show. Not only that but X35 Earthwalker will be recording a live reaction too. Remember that Xbox tends to have some tricks up their sleeves with these shows,. So don’t be surprised if they do another shadow drop or throw in some extras along the way. It’s their style. Xbox is number one and leading in gaming easily right now and they are starting off the new year with big things and multiple things. Now the Xbox Developer Direct may have millions excited but it’s no where near as exciting as… the ‘Earth Walk!’
